Percy immediately passed out the moment we started to fall. Right now, Annabeth was clutching him and screaming. She seemed to be blacking out every now and then. Sadie looked at me with inquiring eyes. Even though I hated to admit it, I was frozen in terror. They way Annabeth was screaming freaked me out, even more than the pit we were falling into. I don't know what to do when a girl screams and cries. I gestured weakly at Sadie to help Annabeth, feeling useless. Just as Sadie put a hand on her, Annabeth violently jerked and screamed one word: " Tartarus!" Before falling limp. "What does she mean?" Asked Sadie, her accent thickening when she's frightened. "Tartarus is the hell in Greek mythology. All of the monsters and titans- bad guys, go there when they die." I explained in a shaky voice.
Horror registered on Sadie's face, and if not for the circumstances, I would have taken a photo. Just then, a stone dropped out of the sky and hit Sadie in the head. She immediately passed out. It was just a pebble, but we were falling so fast I didn't even know how far we are from the ground. I frantically checked her pulse, and jabbed Percy's nose with my elbow in the process. There was a faint beat. I sighed in relief. Just then, Percy woke up, holding a bloody nose and groaning. I got worried again. I know, I'm like a mom, but it's an automatic reaction when you see bones poking out of the sides of someone. "You okay?" I asked. "Fine" groaned Percy. I didn't think he was fine at all. " Dude. Seriously. How much does it hurt? I won't tell the girls." Percy sighed a bit, and lifted up his shirt. I gasped. He had obviously broken at least three bones - I was sure there are others I can't see. His chest had at least five gashes from who-knows-what, probably branches. "That- that looks.." I stuttered. "Bad?" Percy suggested," it hurts like hell. Just don't tell Annabeth. She'll get worried. I can bear this ,but I can't bear her worrying." I decided not to tell him about Annabeth's screaming earlier on. I looked down, and saw the ground rushing up to meet us.
