I woke up in a cell with metal bars. Oh curse Carter was my first thought. He was on duty! Never mind that, Sadie! Isis whispered, look around you! I looked as she said, and discovered that I was chained by my wrists and ankles. On the left of me was Annabeth- she was similarly chained. On the right side, however, was Percy. His shirt was gone and he was stuck waist deep in a huge tub of greenish liquid. Further right I could see Carter. He was also undressed in his upper body.

As if on que, the three of them woke at once. Percy immediately started screaming. "What's wrong?" I asked, frantic. He choked out one word:"Poison!" Before continuing his screaming. Annabeth cursed:" It's Polybetes's cursed water! He's a son of the sea and that giant is the Anti-Poseidon!" "So he is one of the children of Gaea!" Yelled Carter from the other side of the cell. "Yes!" "I find that pretty interesting, these Greek myths. Even though they are scary." " I know! When I first learned they were true, I found them so interesting!" I just realized something-" "Oh please just shut up! I don't need two wikipedias talking across from me in hell!" I finally couldn't stand it anymore. As they finally silenced, the darkness was suddenly replaced by bright light. When I'd blinked the spots from my eyes, I saw the most awful combination ever. A huge man with snake legs and basilisk hair holding a green trident( I assumed this was Polybu- Polbet- Polybi... Oh forget it), and behind him, a demon army, with the most complete set of kitchen equipment and Crockery you can ever find. At its head though, was a monster with a lion's head and a goats body and a snake's head for a tail. "The chimera!" I heard Annabeth whisper. I remembered what she'd told me of her first quest, how Percy fell from the St Louis Arch to the river below in order to escape this monster. Before I could think more about it, Polybetes( finally got his name ) grinned evilly:" Demons! Advance! I'll give you five minutes to torture the Greek girl and the magicians. "  Oh no. This is not happening to me. I just can't let them do this to me and my friends! We are being tied helpless while the monster lunged. Think, Sadie, Isis said. I desperately tried to think of a spell:" Ha-Di!" I yelled. Nothing happened. Carter locked eyes with me. Summon the gods, he mouthed. My hands were still tied. I do have energy in my amulet. Only, how to activate it... Suddenly, a crazy idea came to me. I jerked my chin down, touching the amulet. Power surges though me. "Ha-Di!" I yelled, along with Carter. The demons disintegrated. Annabeth looked at me gratefully while Carter was starting to jerk around, probably because Hourus started to lecture him about combat as soon as he activated to amulet. Poly-boy didn't look happy. I grinned at him. "Well well, a bit feisty? Never mind. You are drained, Magician. You are all drained. I will take my anger out, on the son of Poseidon!" There was silence, as we realized what our cockiness had brought on Percy.
