I felt really bad for kneeing Percy. But his stupid fetal flaw is going to kill him! We decided to take off his shirt and examine his upper body, then let Carter examine his lower parts. He winced and groaned as we tried to lift his shirt off. Finally, I gave up and just ripped it open. Sadie looked ready to vomit. I felt sick myself. Even Carter looked visibly shaken. Percy's back had at least two dozen long gashes. Some are deep and are dripping blood, while others stretched as long as from his shoulder to his waist. Worst of all, there was huge chunks of rock stuck inside the skin. How he was holding this in? I didn't know. Finally Carter spoke:"Percy, think of rainbows and unicorns." "What?" Before anything else could be said, Carter wrenched a huge sharp rock out. Percy crumpled to his knees and punched the ground, cursing. We got the message. About two minutes later, ten stones with bloody tips lay on the ground, while Percy had three broken fingers and tears streaming down his face. "Next time," he spoke  in a shaky voice," give a warning." "It would just made you feel worse." I said. I wished I could do something that helps.

We set up camp around a cave. Sadie and I went outside to see if we can find anything for a fire. She sighed deeply, and I asked :" what's wrong?" "It's just- I miss my boyfriend, Walt." I nodded. I remembered the months when Percy disappeared.

When we went back into the cave, we found Carter trying to summon water again. Percy had passed out from pain. Sadie said:"A'max!" Immediately, the wood we carried into the cave started to burn. Sadie slumped a little. I guess magic trains her energy, just like our powers do to us. As Carter volunteered for guard duty and drew some kind of circle on the ground, I drifted to sleep.
