Pearl PD 777 was created where all Pearls were created: In a 'factory' of sorts. The Pearl Gem Distribution Corporation, or PGD Corp, was the main distributor for Pearls under the Great Diamond Authority. On Gem Homeworld, where Gems, or magical beings that use gems as 'batteries' and have hard holographic constructs. Gems live forever, unless they are broken, shattered or corrupted. Corrupted Gems live in the Mineral Wastelands on the outskirts of Homeworld. The only reason they were allowed to stay there was because they were so dangerous and vile that they were notoriously hard to kill, and the Diamonds can't afford to waste more soldiers too try to kill them all. Only strong, high class warriors hunted them for sport, like the Corrupted were animals. If you would tame one, or get one Corrupted's gem, then you would be recognized by the Diamonds. Unbeknownst to most Gems, the Corrupted were to be a last resort against any threats to Homeworld, and were under testing by Yellow Diamond on how to control them.
But back to Pearl PD 777. Peal 777 was one of the fifty Pearls under Pink Diamond. There were four Diamonds that made up the Great Diamond Authority, though there used to be more: Yellow Diamond, the angry and oppressive head of scientific research and weapons/military development; Blue Diamond, the level-headed and calm head of gem culture and magic; White Diamond, powerful and strong head of the government and social class on Homeworld; and Pink Diamond, the kind and loving head of Gem growth and Kindergartening.
The routine was pretty simple, and Pearl 777 had memorized it even though she wasn't technically part of the process: Blue Diamond and her team would go check out the new planet, then, if it were suitable, Yellow Diamond would come to study the planet furthermore, while Blue Diamond studied the energies and possible magic properties of the new host world. Then, once Gem growing stations, or Kindergatens were set up, Pink Diamond would come and start the Kindergatening. Only Gem warriors were born there. Once in a while, a Quartz Gem, a rare, powerful warrior would emerge and join Yellow Diamond for combat training.
Once that was done, Blue Diamond would set up Warp Pads, which are teleportation pads, and Geodes in which all the Warp Pads flow through and connect. Then comes the most important structure: the Galaxy Warp. A Galaxy Warp held many, many Warp Pads and one huge Warp Pad in the center. A Galaxy Warp was the main transportation to host worlds for the higher classes. The lower classes used the Geode's Warp Pads.
And then buildings were grown, and the energy was taken from the host world, and a completed Gem Colony was created. The only problem was, very few planets were inhabitable, as the process of Kindergartening and Gem Building Growing drained the life quickly from a Colony. Therefore, the planet was only available for a thousand years or so. This meant that the Gems were constantly looking for a new planet to turn into a Gem Colony.
But Pearls, as were most servant and slave Gems, wasn't created in Kindergartens or on Gem Colonies, but on Homeworld itself. Unfortunately, so many gems were being created on Homeworld that they needed Colonies to fit new Gems. Only servants for the higher-ups, the Diamonds and select warriors were allowed to stay on gem Homeworld. And Homeworld was were Pearl PD 777 was created.
You see, Pearls are ready-to-go, perfect servants. Each of them are programmed with complete loyalty to their owner, and are very efficient and never disobey commands. They can also be customized to their owner's whim when poofed, (which means when a Gem's physical body gets damaged so badly they have to retreat into their gem and re-create their form), or when first gotten. Most Pearls aren't that fancy, as each one needed to be distinguishable from aristocratic Gems. But once in a while, a Diamond would request for fancy, nice-looking Pearl, and Pearl 777 was one of them.
The Diamonds had a theme with their Pearls: Yellow Diamonds were very plain-looking and had a uniform with many diamond patterns on it. The uniforms were usually olive-colored and a bright yellow.
Blue Diamond's Pearls wore long dresses and cloaks, and their garments were colored many shades of blue.
White Diamond was the Diamond with the fewest Pearls, as she had a private bodyguard of Sunstones led by the telepathic Moonstones. But the Pearls she did have had plain white leotards sometimes patterned with black stripes and streaks.
Pink Diamond's Pearls usually wore a pink bodysuit with ballet-style skirts. The garments were varying shades of pink, and had a dark pink diamond on the chest of the Pearl.
But Pearl 777 was the only exception. She was made for Pink Diamond, and so was meant to have the light shade of bright pink that the rest of the Pearl fleet had, but she didn't. Pearl 777 was an albino. She had pale white skin, and he gem was white too, not pink like the rest. Her eyes were also blue. Nothing about her was right, and the Corporation had offered Pink Diamond to shatter Pearl 777 and give Pink Diamond another one for free. But Pink Diamond refused. And so Pearl PD 777 was assigned to the kindest Diamond there had ever been.
