From Light to Dark

Blue Diamond was fuming. She and her court were heading back to Homeworld to report a failed mission. This was not at all how things were supposed to go. She knew that White and Yellow Diamond would blame her for this, and why not? But was it her fault that Sapphire's prediction had been wrong? Was it her fault that the Ruby had run off with the most highly valued member of her court? Was it her fault that all she was now the one in charge of creating buildings since Pink Diamond had been shattered?

Blue Diamond's eyes narrowed. If her sisters hadn't been selfish for power and shattered the kindest Diamond there had ever been, and left most of the weight on her shoulders, then there wouldn't have even been a rebellion. She new this wan't a wise idea. Rose Quartz loved Pink Diamond, and Blue Diamond knew that shattering her master would get her angry. No, this wasn't her fault at all.

And it's not like I'm not doing anything, Blue Diamond thought to herself furiously. And she was right. White Diamond had stayed in her dominion, shut out from the world like a hermit since she had killed Pink Diamond, and who knew where Yellow Diamond went. Blue Diamond knew that latter sister was becoming corrupt and thirsty for power. It greatly saddened the indigo colored Diamond to know how evil the Gems of her sisters had become. Pink Diamond was the only one holding together the thin fabric that was keeping her sisters from descending into madness, and now that fabric had snapped. Blue Diamond felt like she was the only one that was worried about the population of Gems at this point.

Blue Diamond sighed. Her sky-colored  Pearl looked up at her.

"Are you well, my Diamond?" Blue Diamond groaned.

"What do you think? The most valuable member of my court just ran away with an inferior soldier, my sisters are corrupt, and the best Diamond to ever live has been shattered. No, I am not well."

The Pearl paused. "Is there a way we could fix this?" Blue Diamond's head head turned slowly to her tiny servant. The Pearl flinched.

"'We'? We is to many people. You are just a Pearl. It is up to me to fix this." Blue Diamond put her chin on her hand. Her Pearl opened her mouth to speak, but Blue Diamond put her finger up. "Not now, Pearl. In fact, leave me." The Pearl bowed and walked out of the Diamond's throne room and stood guard outside.

There's a way to fix this, thought Blue Diamond. I just have to think... She sighed and looked at the shards of her fallen sister she had been allowed to keep in a protective orb.

"Oh, my lovely sister, what would you do..." She turned it slowly without touching it. The shards were hit by the light and glowed momentarily. Blue Diamond almost dropped the orb. Of course, it was so obvious...

She floated the orb towards herself and touched it. It split open and fell to the ground. Blue Diamond levitated the shards and stood up.

"You will come back, my sister," said, and cleared her throat. The shards started glowing with a plan blue aura.

From magic light, to magic dark,
I bring back the one who will end this war,
For she is pure, and I am not,
But with my power, I rise her up.

The shards started pulsing pink, faster and faster, then started crackling with blue electricity. Blue Diamond's gem started glowing, and then a thin indigo beam shot from it and hit the shards. The shards started piecing back together, then became a whole Diamond. Blue Diamond cried out in pain as she used her energy to bring back the fallen Diamond.

With a flash, Pink Diamond's limbs started appearing one by one, then her dress, and then Blue Diamond's sister was standing in front of her.

Blue Diamond clutched her gem and fall to her knees. She breathed heavily. Pink Diamond looked around and them her eyes found Blue Diamomd.

"Sister... What are you doing?," said Pink Diamond. "Then she looked at her hands. "Wait... I'm... I'm dead." She looked at Blue Diamond. "Right?"

"I brought you back, sister. I need you."

"Why?"

"Our sisters are corrupt and your Rose Quartz has started a rebellion against Honeworld. Please. Stop her. She will only listen to you." Pink Diamond looked confused.

"Rose Quartz?" Blue Diamond nodded.

"Her forces grow stronger every day." Blue Diamond seized her sister's dress. "Please." Pink Diamond's face grew serious.

"I will do it. I will stop this." Blue Diamond nearly squealed in delight.

"Oh, thank you so much. But do not reveal yourself to our sisters yet, for they will break you. If you stop the rebellion, they will tank you and you will become one of us again." Pink Diamond nodded.

"Of course. Thank you, sister."

"No, sister. Thank you. "
