Yellow Diamond sat on her black throne, waiting. Lava churned underneath her, bubbling and spitting. She tapped her foot, impatient. Twenty Pearls, all in uniform, stood silently beneath her, inferior creatures. Yellow Diamond had sent her own personal Pearl to go check on where the other Diamonds were. She hadn't come back for the last twenty minutes.

Finally, when Yellow Diamond was about to use the Diamond Communication Channel, her yellow-clad Pearl stepped through the huge dark doors, looking nervous. Behind her strode Blue Diamond, with her dark hair waving in a nonexistent wind, her cloak trailing behind her, and White Diamond, her spiky white hair crackling slightly with power and her black cape flying behind her. The Pearls at Yellow Diamond's feet bowed and didn't stop.

"Yellow Diamond," said Blue Diamond at once, almost trampling the Pearl in front of her. "You called us here for private council. What is this about?" Yellow Diamond looked at her, her fingers touching each other in a diamond shape in front of her face.

"You are aware of Pink Diamond's agenda?," Yellow Diamond said curtly.

"It was a fantasy, nothing more."

"Yet it is against us. I believe Pink Diamond is starting to act... too kind for her own good. We Diamonds must rule with an iron fist, as all our ancestors have before us."

"I do not rule my dominion like that," said Blue Diamond. "I wish not to oppress my subjects. They know their standing and status."

"That is because you have a court of aristocrats! They are all shown in high regard by you, for they are rare and fancy as you like them."

"Is it a sin, sister, to have the powerful and rich in my court? I daresay mine is more peaceful then yours."

"Peace?!" Yellow Diamond stood up and glared at Blue Diamond. "Peace is nonexistent. I make our empire strong. If it wren't for my scientific breakthroughs, we wouldn't be controlling as many systems as we are today."

"Most of those systems were uninhabited! Anyone could take over a planet that has no life on it!"

"If it weren't for my planning-"

"Planning? A Ruby could do what you've-"

"Enough." White Diamond's commanding voice rang out and Blue and Yellow Diamond quieted immediately. "I grow weary of this conversation. It is going nowhere. Your constant bickering tires me. It is true that Pink Diamond is growing strange, and her rule over her dominion is very weak for a Diamond, though she is very at peace, unlike you two. But I do say action is a must. She is misrepresenting us Diamonds, and it shames our Gem line." The others stayed dead quiet.

"We must cleanse the line," White Diamond continued in her imperious voice. "We must... cut her off. For good." Blue Diamond looked shocked.

"But sister!," she said in a fearful voice. "You surely don't mean... shattering her?" White Diamond looked to the side.

"As unpleasant as it sounds, yes, we must. She has a certain... affinity for life the rest of us don't. The new planet in the Crystal System we want to make a colony has shown signs of sentient life. If she gets attached to the life forms, bad things may happen. To all Gem kind. You know of her life-giving powers. She has even passed it onto her Rose Quartz." Blue and Yellow Diamond looked at eachother.

"So then," said Blue Diamond with a quavering voice, "Who will... end her?"

"I will set a trap for her," Yellow Diamond said at once. "Sister, if you could-?"

"I want no part of this," Blue Diamond said angrily. "This is slaughter of our own sister. You speak of wanting to uphold our family honor? This is not the way." Blue Diamond turned and strode off.

"Then I will end her," said White Diamond coldly. "I will shatter her. This is... distasteful, but things must be done for the greater good. Before we do any of this, though, we need to send a scout team to the Earth planet in the Crystal System." Yellow Diamond nodded.

"I will prepare that. Thank you, my sister."

"My pleasure." And White Diamond strode off out the doors and flew back to her dominion.
