After about two or so hours you thought you smelled something familiar. You looked into the sky to see a few storm clouds. They were almost pure black and puffy. You shake your head.
"If we stay outside during this, you're giving me your hoodie." You say.
Hoodie grunts. You look at him, raising a brow. He shakes his head. You glare.
"Fine. Then I'm going to a store." You say angling yourself towards the town.
He grabs your arm. You try to rip it back, he keeps his grip tight. You groan, knowing you're gonna lose no matter how hard you try. He pulls you back.
"The reason I'm not giving you my sweatshirt is because it'll get soaked and it'll make you colder." He states.
You growl. "Yeah, but my shirt is see through when wet."
He taps his chin. "True but I'd rather not walk all the way to that town then have no reason to be there other than to get you a jacket."
"Well... We can always 'rent' a car." You say.
He shakes his head. You fall to the ground hugging his leg. He sighs while looking at you.
You give him puppy dog eyes. He scoffs at you.
"Why are you acting like a child?" He asks, grabbing under your arms and lifting you to your feet.
You hang your head, falling back. He keeps ahold on you. "I just don't want you seeing my braw." You blush.
He makes a groaning sighing mix. Letting go of your arms he turns towards the town. You stumble back, catching yourself before you fall. A small smile appears on your face. He begins walking. You follow, skipping every now and again.
As you reach the outskirts of the town Hoodie stops. You look at him for a moment.
"I'll wait here." He says. "Go get a jacket or something to cover yourself. Get back here as soon as you can."
You nod and start running. As you get into the town you notice there aren't many stores. As you walk a car pulls up beside you. You look over. The window roles down revealing a young handsome man.
He has slight stubble and gorgeous green eyes. You look at him, curious as to what he was doing. He gives a flirty wink. You scoff and begin walking again. He drives next to you.
"If you don't let me be I'll call the police." You say in a serious tone.
The man gives a flirty growl. "I'll take my chances." He says lustfully.
"I'm not a stripper bub, so leave me be." You really wished Hoodie was with you. He would've been cursing at that guy to leave. That or have a gun at his head. You were a little afraid of this guy.
He only chuckles. "Oh, I know that. I was just wondering if you needed a place to stay."
You walk a little faster. Every fiber in your body said run, but you didn't want to do something stupid. The man keeps driving next to you. Your heart thunders in your chest.
"Are you okay? You can drop that load on your back off at my place."
You quickly feel a hand on your shoulder. Your heart stops for a split second. You couldn't move. The guy in the car remains silent. Your eyes glint with happiness as you hear a familiar voice.
"We're good with walking, thanks for the offer though." Hoodie says. For once that stern angry voice sounded like gold to your ears. You were safe. Hoodie was with you. Everything was going to be fine.
The driver didn't say anything as he rolled up his window and left. You quickly turned around, Hoodie's mask was off but his face was shadowed by the hood of his sweatshirt. That had probably intimidated the guy, you thought. Hoodie began walking with you.
Before you could stop yourself you almost tackled him when you hugged him. He gave a slight "oof" as he caught his balance. You squeeze him tightly. He had just saved your *ss from possible rape, maybe. You didn't want to let go of him. But he eventually pushed you away.
He had blush on his face. You gave a bright smile, your eyes twinkling. Hoodie swallowed, remaining silent. He slowly began walking again, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Why'd you show up?" You ask.
He clears his throat. "I wanted to make sure you didn't tell anyone..." He says, almost sounding ashamed.
Nodding, you don't ask anymore questions. The store you were heading to wasn't that far away. As you got there Hoodie stopped again. You role your eyes and go inside.
It wasn't very crowded but it was also about nine in the morning. You begin walking around. You find a nice raincoat and jacket. The rain coat was a clear blue it reached down to the middle of your knees. The jacket was grey with a purple tint. It had darker colored sleeves and the hood was a dark, almost black shade of blue. You bought both and shoved them in your backpack.
As you went outside you noticed Hoodie was nowhere to be seen. You began walking and jumped when you suddenly felt his hand on your shoulder. You wanted to get angry at him for scaring you but somehow, it was nice to have him around.
Resisting the urge to lean against him, you stood up straighter and walked a little faster. Hoodie doesn't comment on this he blandly adjusts his pace.
As you make it back to the outskirts of the town you notice the dewy smell of rain is stronger. Shaking your head you take out the jacket and raincoat. Hoodie turns around.
As he flipped off his hood you saw beautiful short black locks. It hair reached to the middle of his neck where it curled up slightly. You walked over, unable to help yourself. You ran your fingers through his hair. He stiffened.
"So soft!" You chuckle. You weren't joking either. His hair was silky soft. You curled one of his locks around your finger.
He puts his mask back on quickly, though your fingers remained underneath it. He reached behind him grabbing your arms. He pulled your hands out from under his mask. He turns around, his mask is covering his entire face. You give him a big smile.
"I'm not even gonna talk about that." He says in that deep terrifying voice. A shiver racks your spine at the tone. But from how awkward he sounded when he spoke it wasn't that hard to keep from smiling.
He took a deep breath, as if he were trying to remain calm before he let you go. You rubbed your arm where there were slight red marks from his hands. You put on the jacket and rain coat. Hoodie puts his hands on his hips while cocking his head.
"Why'd you buy a jacket?" He asks.
You shrug. You didn't really know why either. It was hot outside and just because it's gonna rain doesn't mean it's gonna get cold. Hoodie sighs, shaking his head.
"Whatever... Come on, we need to get going. We've wasted enough time." He says.
You nod. As you two begin walking you hear thunder. You pull the hoods up over your head. It was probably going to rain soon. Hoodie didn't seem bothered. He didn't really seem to notice.
Soon a small question popped into your mind. "Hey Hoodie, can I ask you something?"
"You just did." He replies.
You role yours eyes to the heavens. "Why did Masky call you Brian?" You ask.
He remains quiet for a few seconds. The air around him becomes a little suffocating. "Well... That's a difficult question to answer." You can tell he's going to say more so you remain quiet. "A few years ago... Probably about seven or eight actually. We went to college together. We were actually pretty good friends.
"I'm not gonna tell you everything. Let's just say I stole something that really helped him and he's still really mad about it... But... We're actually pretty good friends still... He's just happy I'm..."Hoodie stops talking and shakes his head. "Never mind I'll tell you later. For now though, that's it." He finishes.
They were still friends?! They sure as h*ll didn't act like it. When they spoke you could feel the anger in the air. Why in the world would you believe they were friends?! But Hoodie sounded like he was telling the truth. You shook your head.
"Do you guys really cuss that much though? Just a random question."
Hoodie chuckles before sighing. "Not really actually. I've just been really tired these past few days and haven't had my... Never mind. But Tim doesn't cuss that much either. He's usually quite well mannered. It's rare to hear him curse."
You cock your head. "Who's Tim?" You ask, curious. You suspect it's Masky but you didn't really know.
Hoodie jerks his head up slightly. "Oh... So I said his real name..." Hoodie sighs. "That'd be Masky's actual name."
"What's he like?" You ask. You wanted to learn a little bit about these people.
"Oh... He's a good guy. He acts like an idiot even though he's quite intelligent. He makes rash decisions and gets in trouble with our master... A lot. Though, he never liked our master. Ever.
"I can understand why but he could get himself killed acting the way he does. He worries me..." Hoodie stops talking.
"You two didn't act like friends." You say.
"When around others we're pretty mean to each other. But by ourselves we talk, laugh, joke. Don't really know why... It's been like that since we became proxies."
You nod. You'd learned everything you wanted to know for now. Though he wasn't telling you a few things. You would find out what they were soon. Probably after you got to know each other better.
The rain slowly began to pour. You weren't fond of it but you were happy that you weren't soaked. Though Hoodie soon took off his sweatshirt and stuffed it in his backpack. He rolled up his mask, probably so he could breathe. You didn't know when the rain would stop but you hoped it would be soon.

   Please Read!
How I described Hoodie is not how he actually looks. I chose this look because I liked it the most. I just finished watching the Marble Hornets series and I'm making slight changes to the characters. So just a heads up, Hoodie may change just a bit. But I'm not making it full on Marble Hornets I'm going to try and not involve any of the Marble Hornets characters other than Tim and Brian. Thank you to those who read this.
