Harry and few other guys were beating up somebody.

"Har-Harry?" I was shaking. He looked so scary, punching and kicking the poor guy.

He stopped and turned around to look at me. "Antonia? What are you doing here?" The guy who was now laying on the floor looked up and I recognized him.

"Why are you beating up Liam?" Harry froze and Liam coughed out blood which disgusted me.

"I uh.." He was speechless. "I can't believe you Harry. Megan will be so disappointed in you when she finds out." Harry's expression changed and he looked at me, coldly. "Don't tell her." "And why not?" "She's my world. If she finds out, she'll leave me and I don't want her to. I love her." The guys snickered but Harry scowled them and they shut up. "I understand but she'll find out somehow. One day..." Harry turned around and the rest followed him.

I heard groans and coughs and remembered that Liam was still there.

I kneeled down and tried to help him up but he hit me. "What was the for jerk?" "Leave me alone b****!" Was he serious? "I was only trying to help you dick head!" "Well, I don't want your help so move you worthless piece of sh*t!" My heart pace fastened and I stood up, trying so hard to hold back the tears. Memories, painful memories were coming back and I could burst into tears any minute.

*Flashback*

I screamed as blood trickled down my head.

"You feel that b*tch? It's called Pain! Something you deserve!" My dad kicked me in the stomach.

"Da-Dad, please stop.." "Oh so now you're begging?" He kicked me once more and I dropped to the floor. Blood everywhere.

Suddenly, the door opened and my grandpa entered.

"Darling! Oliver, let her go, right now!" My grandpa rubbed my back and soothed me while my dad stood there, emotionless.

"Oliver, how could you? Your own daughter?" Grandpa was now shouting.

"She deserves it! She's the one who killed them! It's all her fault!" I blocked my ears and tried to ignore his hateful comments but that didn't seem to work so well.

"It's all your fault b*tch! F*ck you! You should be the one whose dead! Not them! F*ck you! You're just a worthless piece of sh*t! You're worthless! Do you hear me?"

*Flashback ends*

Tears were steaming down my face and I wiped them, trying to calm myself down.

"What the f*ck? You're crying? Are you kidding me? The b*tch is crying!" I hid my face and slapped him.

I ran and ran till I finally got tired. Why me? Why?

"Antonia?" I felt warm arms wrap around me and hug me tight. "Grandpa, it's just so unfair... Why them? Why couldn't it be me? I'm worthless... Dad was right..." "No, you're not Antonia. You're a very special girl who is beautiful and has a wonderful personality. Don't let your dad bring you down. It's not your fault. It's nobody's fault."

"Cut the act grandpa! Don't tell me you've never blamed me? Don't tell me you've never thought that it was all my fault! Don't tell me you've never thought of me dead instead! I'm sure you thought that grandpa! I'm sure you did."

He sighed, a long big sad sigh. "I did think that Antonia but I was depressed back then. I'm sorry for blaming you, I'm sorry."

"It's ok, grandpa. It's ok." Minutes passed by and we stayed in each other's arms, crying our hearts out.

After several minutes where we tried to calm down, we stopped crying and got back home.

"Where the hell have you been?" My dad was standing there, angry and pissed. Mom was washing the dishes and weakly smiled at us.

"Ummm..." "We went to the park for a walk." Grandpa lied. My dad growled and let us in. "Dinner will be ready soon." Mom said. It smiled delicious. "What are we eating?" "Your favorite. Beef stew." "Delicious!" I'm happy that she still remembers what I enjoy. I went up to my room and did the homework. It was the first day of the school and they were already giving out homework. That's stupid.

"Dinner's ready!" I ran as fast as I could downstairs and sat down, only to serve myself and drool while they were still sitting down. They served themselves and prayed. I ate and the warm stew tasted so heavenly...

"So, how was school honey?" Dad gave mom the wtf look. It's been a while since she called me honey.

"It was nice actually. I made some new friends. One of them is an artist and he draws super well!"

"He? What's his name?"

"Zayn. He's got a girlfriend. She's very pretty. Her names Tania and she's fun to hang around. She's so lovable. I wish I was her." I mumbled the last part, hoping she didn't hear that.

"Oh come on Honey, you're beautiful too. You have a great personality. To be honest, I think a lot of people would want to be you."

I stopped eating. "Who are you and what have you done with my mother?" She laughed. She actually laughed! And I made her laugh.

Grandpa started smiling like an idiot but dad stayed quiet and kept eating.

"Oh come on. It's not like I'm a person who holds grudges for that long. It wasn't even your fault."

My dad punched my mom right in front of me.

Grandpa stopped smiling and looked at him in shock.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S NOT HER F*CKING FAULT? YOU AND I BOTH KNOW IT IS!"

Now that I think about it. Mom does have a lot of her bruises. I remember when we packed. She couldn't pick a box up because her arm was hurting. I rolled up her sleeve to see what was wrong and had found a huge cut that went up from her elbow to her shoulder. She had pulled her sleeve down, probably hoping I didn't see that but I did.

"I'm sorry Oliver, I was just..." "YOU WERE JUST WHAT?? TRYING TO COMFORT THIS THING?" Ouch. That hurt. He called me a thing. How could he? I have feelings too but I wasn't gonna let him win. I never give up without a fight.

"ME? A THING?? WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU BLOODY ARE?? JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE MY FATHER, DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN GO AROUND, BEATING ME UP AND INSULTING ME LIKE IF I WAS NOTHING? WHAT HAPPENED WASN'T MY F*CKING FAULT! FOR ALL I KNOW, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CALLED THEM TO PICK ME UP BECAUSE YOU WERE BUSY SO DON'T GO AROUND BLAMING ME!"

The whole table shook when my dad stood up to punch me. Grandpa tried stopping him but grandpa was old and weak, he couldn't do anything.

"F*CK YOU, YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SH*T!!"

He left the dinner table and my mom was sobbing.

"I'm so sorry." She said in between sobs.

I washed my plate and cleaned the whole table.

My mom was still crying and I think, grandpa went to sleep.

"Mom. Don't apologize. It's not your fault." She hugged me.

I wet her shirt as I also started to cry. She was so warm and I felt so safe with her.

"This is the first time you've hugged me since the incident." I whispered.

I heard a click and lights blinded me. Grandpa was holding a camera, smiling, and looking at his snapshot. He walked to us and showed it.

"What do you think?" My mom smiled and that brightened my whole day. I haven't seen my mom smile in a while. Hey that rhymes!

"I think you should go to bed now Honey. Too much drama for one day."

I agreed and walked up the stairs. I jumped on my bed and lay there comfortably. This felt so good.

"Good night honey." Were the last words before a pair of warm lips kissed my forehead.

I smiled the whole night, even in my dreams, for my mom kissed me, for the first time in years.
