Jasper's POV)We sat under the tree "getting to know each other" all lunch period, but we were only down to the basics. AKA the information Mrs. Willer doesn't want. I don't know how we are going to open up to each other, but if Mariah told me was true, it shouldn't be that hard.
The lunch bell finally rang and we both sighed at the same time. She was in the middle of telling me what her biggest fears were.
She smiled slightly. "Maybe I can finish this..."
She dragged the sentence in a question.
"Later. My place. After school around five-thirty."
She seemed caught off guard before she shook her head slightly, my guess she was trying to clear it. "Okay, um, sure, if my brother's settled I'll come over."
I nodded and stood as she finished.gathering her books. I reached my hand out to help her up. She hesitated for a second and I sucked in a breath when I felt ? electricity shoot up my.arm. Something told me She felt it to because she gave a small quiet gasp.
"We, gross, Mony, you're gonna get infected."
We both turned to look at Heather walking over being followed by her main two co-whores. At least Harmony can walk alone.
Harmony snatched her hand away from mine quickly, and I'm not sure why, but that really missed me off.
"Please, Heather," I said with disgust, "The only thing infectious around here is you. You're practically a walking STD."
She gasped and looked at Harmony. I wondered why she always put her in the hot seat like that. I was ready to respond to whatever insult Harmony was about to make before I realized she didn't make one.
She just grabbed Heather's wrist and said, "Come on before we're late."
Heather looked at her with an expression that practically yelled why the hell didn't you defend me?!
I held in my laughter at that. Some people just truly are pathetic.
Harmony's eyes turned to me for a nano second, but it was long enough for our eyes to lock. She quickly looked away and pulled Heather into the school building with the" extras" following behind them like lost puppies.
I sighed and walked into the school building. I threw my trey into into the trash and headed down the hall, but didn't make it far before I was pushed in the wall.
I looked to see who my attacker was. Brett Miller. Heather's twin brother. Great.
He chuckled. He must think he's hurting me. He met my eyes with venom in his. "Stop talking shit about my sister, Faggot. I will beat the shit out of you! Stay the he'll away from her."
I chuckled a little. "You sound like an over protective brother trying to scare off a boyfriend and, believe me, I am nowhere near interested in your sister. And as for going near her...Well it's a free country. I'll go wherever the hell I want. Besides, I never approach her. It's always the other way around. You might wanna check that out man. I think your sister might be obsessed with me."
