Chapter 2)
Song for this chapter: Paramore- Ignorence
****************************************

We pull up to the school by the time that God forsaken song stopped playing. I don't get what's so good about it. It's just a song about being popular. I will admit that the video is kind of cool though. Evan seemed to like it, though, which was also wierd to me.

I parked in what seemed to be the only parking spot left available that was semi close to the entrance. What can I say, I like to go and leave quickly. I pulled up to a black Camero. It was a nice car. I glanced inside and noticed a blonde in the passenger seat and a white-head in the drivers seat. I blonde was hot, but the white-head looked a lot better.

I see them glance over at my car and then try to see who was driving it. Unfortunately for them, my windows We're darkly tented. I could see out, but no one could see in. I could see them say something to each other before the blonde made a disappointed look. The white-head began to get out the car. I shook my head and chuckled, getting out myself. Evan doing the same.

When we were out, the girls over at us. Then I instantly recognized the them from the cheerleading squad. The blonde, who was Heather, scrunched up her nose, but her eyes practically raped my body anyways. I glanced at the white-head who I knew to be Harmony Ashtons. She was in all of my classes except Trig. And she, like her friend, was a complete bitch.

Evan patted me on the back and headed into the building. He had a habit of doing that instead of just saying see you later. Heather's eyes followed Evan with a look of disgust before turning back to me with a smirk.

"I didn't know emo freaks could look so hot," she said.

I raised an eyebrow. "Huh, weird, I didn't know sluts could cover up more than two inches," I fired back taking in her skin tight jeans and tank top. "Then again, it seems as if your clothes are painted on."

I noticed Harmony smirk a little, but she made it disappear when Heather looked at her for support.

Harmony cleared her throat. "Well at least she knows how to use her body to attract people, while you look like the only thing you're trying to attack is a bullet. Take the compliments you can you can, Freak, because I'm willing to bet you don't get that many."

I know I couldn't have imagined the fact that she just called her friend a whore herself, but regardless, she insulted me as well.

"Gee, never thought I'd here something like that from a self-starved class-A bitch."

She looked taken aback and I thought I saw a hint of sadness cross her eyes, but I didn't dwell on it. I walked away, heading inside the building. At least she just reminded me why girls like her are not my type.

       Bitch.

      Harmony's POV)

I was taken aback by his insult. Mainly because it was true. I did starve myself, but with good reason. My mother left my dad when I was seven six because my dad had picked up weight, which he lost, but it wasn't good enough for her. She thought he wasn't perfect anymore and was obsessed with having the perfect family. Damen was one so he doesn't remember. She decided to date a guy who could've been a model. On the day she left, before she walked out the door, she keeled down in from of me and placed a gentle hand on my cheek and said, "Never lose how you look, Harmony. You're beautiful, thin. Stay that way. Take mama's advice, if you ever become fat or a seven or below on the look scale, no one will love you. You have to remain perfect, Harmony. You wouldn't want anyone to leave you like I'm leaving your father." And she left with that. Not even an I love you. She imprinted the need to be perfect inside of me and now that's what I feed off of. And I hate it. So excuse me, if I'm a little bitchy.

"Whoa, Earth to Mony," Heather said waving a hand in front of my face.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her." Let's go. The bell's about to ring."

True to my words, the bell rung.

"Ugh," grunted Heather, loudly,"That makes seven tardiness. Looks like I'll be staying after for detention today."

I didn't respond as we entered the building, my mother was still on My mind. Along with the fact that Jasper thinks I'm just a complete bitch for no reason. I don't know why, but I felt the need to prove him wrong.

After getting our passes and Heather getting her detention slip, we headed our separate ways to our first periods. Mine was English and, sadly, I had it with Jasper.

When I opened the classroom door, all heads turned to me. There were whistles, and compliments, and all other things that would usually make me happy, but not today. It all felt like lies. In that instant I felt a specific pair of eyes on me. I looked around the room until my ocean blue eyes met smokey grey ones. As soon as our gaze met I heard my name being called.

    "Ms. Ashtons."

"Huh," I said looking at Mrs. Willer.

"I said are you going to sit down or act as a television show for the class?"

I sighed, not responding and turned to sit in my desk by the door, but a girl I didn't recognize was sitting there. She had red and black hair that reached three inches past her shoulders. She was wearing a band T and converse. Even though, she appeared to be emo, I couldn't lie to myself that this chick was perfect. I'm talking a perfect figure eight. Her eyes raked my body before landing on my eyes and she smiled.

"That's Mariah, our new student," I heard Mrs Willow say. "I gave her your seat since it seemed you didn't want it. I'm sure you won't mind sitting somewhere else. "

I looked at her with an agitated  look. I like sitting by the door. I sit by the door in all of my classes. I like to be able to just come and go. "Yes, I do mind."

She raised an eyebrow. "And here I was thinking you were smart enough to realize I wasn't giving you an option. Take another available seat."

I looked around the class again and noticed that the only available seat was next to Jasper in the second row. Surprise. Surprise. But I didn't mind that much, at least I could still prove I wasn't as terrible as he thought. I sighed and began walking to the seat when Mariah's voice piped up.

"I don't mind sitting there, Mrs Willow. That way Harmony can have her seat. No harm done."

Damn, the perfect bitch was British to make her even more perfect. I glanced at her with suspicious narrowed eyes. She seemed to eager. She was looking at Jasper, smiling. I looked to him and noticed him smirking as his eyes raked over her. I don't know what feeling came over me, but whatever it was made a voice in my head say hell no.

"It's okay, Mrs Willow, I'll sit there," I said, then turned back to Mariah. "And feel free to keep that seat."

She looked shocked, but sat back down without a word. Good girl, I thought. Then I made my way to the desk beside Jasper. He looked at me like I grew two heads and a tail. I just simply smiled at him and turned my attention to Mrs Willow, still feeling his eyes on me. I smiled, smally, to myself. Starting now.
