I patiently waited at the airport for my mom to pick me up.

Exactly four hours ago, Anne had come in with a bottle of cheap wine, ready to celebrate the job she successfully landed. Apparently, Anne's makeup had floored them- which of course wasn't at all surprising. After all, she was crazy good at what she did.

But unfortunately, I couldn't stay too long. She took the news like I had expected her to and understood that I needed to go. Kindly, she had helped me pack and dropped me off at the airport, squeezing me tight and telling me that everything was going to be okay.

As I waited to board my flight, my phone buzzed. It was the Tinder app. I thought it was just another notification telling me of another match, or a random message from someone asking if I was there.

But it was actually the guy with the name that read 'Louis'. His message said:

Louis: Hi (:
I'm sorry for the long wait haha

To which I counted to a hundred before responding with:

Me: It's no problem, I wasn't holding my
        breath (;

Oh God was that mean? No.

Louis: Hahaha
             Wow....
             Tbh you're pretty damn cute

Me: Haha, I could say the same about.
        you...
        But how are you doing?

Louis: Aww
Err. Just went through a break up :/

Me: Oh, I'm sorry...
        Is that why you're rebounding?

Louis: Hahaha
If I were rebounding I'd be hitting.
             on you much harder

Me: Oh so you're hitting on me?

Louis: Damn.
             I got myself

I couldn't bite down the smile, so I didn't. It was then that the announcement for my flight was made.

Me: Hey, it was nice talking to you. I've
got a plane to catch ):

Louis: Uh oh
            We've got a runaway

Me: Hahaha. No, it's not like that. Text you later, yeah?

Louis: I'll be holding my breath (;

Me: Funny :P

Louis: xx

And exactly one hour ago, my plane had landed and my mother was still no where to be seen.

Finally, I caught sight of the short brunette, but once I made out the figure next to her, I felt my stomach twist.

"Selene!" She exclaimed as she hurried her way over to me. I wrapped my arms around her, finding only a bit of comfort and warmth. "You've changed so much," she smiled.

Her figure retreated as she let him wrap his arms around me. He had dyed his dark hair, "How long has it been?" He whispered in my ear, arms holding me tightly.

"Almost two years I believe," my lips pulled themselves into a smile.

"Well," he finally stepped back. "It's nice to see you again, Sel."

It was hard to believe that the sixteen, now eighteen, year old guy my mom wanted me to get together with, was still here.

"You too, Justin."
