"Ready for your first day in?" Harry smirked as he unlocked the shop's door.

It was amusing to see that he was every bit as excited as I was, even though he tried masking that excitement under his typical calm demeanor.

"Yup," I stated before walking inside. It was only a little warmer, but Harry had warned me that the heater was broken and insisted a brought a bigger jacket than the one I was planning to bring.

He began moving things around and turning on the lights, "You will mostly be in the back room. Sometimes we have weird customers and I don't want you to have to deal with them."

He gestured for me to follow him, waving his bare arm over his shoulder as he walked towards the familiar back room.

"This," he pointed at door to the left before opening it to reveal a desk and a laptop with filing cabinets on either side. "Is where you'll be. It's not much, but it does the job. You can either leave the door open or closed, it's your choice. No one but me or Lance come back here."

I nodded. It wasn't too bad. There was enough room for me to pace back and forth and it was sort of like a cute little office, "Can I decorate it?"

Harry chuckled, amused at my blunt statement but recognizing my motive, "Anyway you want, babe. It's all yours."

I gave him a smug smile.

"Oh and bathroom's right there," he pointed at the familiar door. "But you already knew that," he smirked. My cheeks heat up at the memory of Harry's hands on either side of my waist as he roughly thrusted into me. "Although I have no problem reminding you of it if you somehow forgot."

His body is suddenly too close for me to find my next words, his fingers are under my chin and his thumb is tracing over my lips.

"On second thought, you might have to keep that door closed," he pressed his lips against mine. His hand falls from my face to my waist as he pulls me in impossibly closer.

I relish the savour of his lips before he pulls back, "Remember, you have to keep it professional, Harry."

My teasing doesn't falter him, "Alright. Two can play this game."

There's a small part of me that begins to panic.

"But for now, all you have to do is finish filing these new folders with the shop's investment papers that we had to renew, onto the computer," he hands me the folder and starts up the laptop.

He's bending over the chair as he's telling me the passwords and where the documents are filed, but I can't get past the fact that this beautiful creature is mine.

He looks back at me, his lips stopped moving as he stares at me, waiting to answer the question he must have asked.

I blink once then twice as Harry continues to look quizzically at me.

"Yeah," I mutter stupidly as I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear.

His brows knit in suspicion, "I asked what you wanted me to grab for lunch."

"Oh," I mumbled. "Surprise me?"

Harry shook his head before sending me a mischievous smile, "You were totally checking me out."

I couldn't help but narrow my eyes at him, "Please- I was not."

My words didn't faze his entitled gloat, "Sure, Selene."

"Anyway, can you scoot out now? I've got work to do, in case you didn't notice."

He raised his eyebrows, "Ouh. An eager lady ready to work?"

"Harry," I laughed.

He pulled my hand so that my chest was pressed against his. I couldn't help but kiss his jaw.

"I'll be right out here. Lance is out scouting for more deals, so he won't be back until an hour before you're off."

I nodded at him before he dipped his head down and placed a small kiss on my nose.

He turned around and walked out the small room before he was out of eyesight.

I sighed and took a seat on the plush chair before trying to remember what he was saying and coming out successful. I began filing in the paperwork, learning about the costs and profits that both Harry and Lance shared.

It was interesting and a bit invasive in a way, but I refrained myself from diving in too deeply and focused on putting everything in, word for word.

When I was done with the first folder, an hour had gone by. It wasn't hard or anything, it was actually quite easy for the pay I was receiving.

We had discussed it on our way over here, and I had to reassure Harry that I didn't want a bias pay, considering he was my boyfriend now.

The thought still sent a warm feeling in my stomach.

However, the salary was reasonable and now I would let Anne know that she was free to get out and form a life with Liam. I'd be stupid if I didn't catch the look in her eyes that seemed disappointed when I talked to her about my situation.

The next step would be figuring out my living arrangement. I wouldn't be able to pay for all the costs and bills on my own without Anne's share.

After filing in the next folders, I would have a bit of time left before going with Harry for lunch.

He was busy with clients; I heard voices and then the sound of his needle going on and off for a series of time.

His job was more than a clear perspective of him. Sometimes I wanted to ask if he'd still give me that private tattoo, but going under the needle after officially becoming his girlfriend, seemed much more intimate. That feeling alone sent me overboard and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to handle a hot looking Harry in deep concentration without hopping on his dick.

Jesus, Anne.

I pushed the thought away and instead made a choice to search for apartments on the laptop after finishing up the first part of my work for today.

I glanced around the room. I should probably search for some decorative stuff too.

I'm so sorry for the long wait! But I hope you enjoy the remaining chapters!

If you want something of mine to read on the side, check out The Earth, Myself, and Other Round Things on my profile. It's more so on body positivity, but hopefully super relatable with the insecurities that invade our mind and stand in the way of happiness. It's also my attempt at humour so bare with me lol.
