I watched as Selene hugged her mom goodbye before doing the same with her dad.
Honestly, she was some sort of pillar for them. I hated to admit that once she left, they'd all crumble down to shit.
But my eyes were also set on Justin who glared at me as he anxiously waited to have Selene in his arms. Except, once she pulled away from her dad, I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her towards me, sending Justin a quick smirk.
There was nothing left to say after we bid them goodnight and so we left to head towards the airport after I booked our flight, which took forever to do because I had to convince Selene to let me pay for her ticket. In the end I told her she could just give me her mouth for a second time and she gave in shortly, it was a win win.
God she drove me crazy. But watching how upset and tired all of this was making her, made me angry because she shouldn't be going through this.
She should be happy and smiling because when she does, it's so fucking contagious.
I glanced at her from the corner of my eye as her head rested on the window, reminding me of the first night we were together.
The curve of her face was still so smooth against the strands of her that met with her eyelashes, covering the majority of her face from me.
Her lips were still pouting and it took everything in me not to stop the car and kiss them. Instead, I settled for having her hand in mine.
