Why Me?

chapter 6- awkward

         The next day was hell . I couldn't feel my legs and was in unbearable pain .
Part of me was happy it was over but on the other hand is wish it didn't have to happen so soon. Or at least in that way. I left my room and headed to the bathroom walking awkwardly due to the pain. I desperately needed a shower.

Drying my face , I walked out of the bathroom to find Jenna staring at me. Jenna is the other bride . The one that married Adam's brother . She is very short and has tanned skin and a small body . She is ok looking but so delicate and a bit scary . I figured it was because she came from the deep part of the country where everything is made by hand and people don't like to modernize. I felt bad for her knowing she had to go through the same thing yesterday that I did. I stopped pitying her the second I saw her smiling all bubbly and everything ! 'Wtf I'm over here dreading my life and your happy? Seriously' I thought.

"Can you move please I have to take a quick shower" she said
"Erm....... ok" I moved away. She stepped into the bathroom and winked at me before she closed the door in my face . "Wow and I thought country girls are weak kinds of creatures" I said to myself while walking back into my room . I sat alone with my thoughts and couldn't help but sigh .Time past and I just felt so empty.

Suddenly the door opened and Raneem walked in . I really did like her so far. Really kind and sweet I didn't have a problem with her. "Hello darling.  How are you today?" 'Oh how am I? Hmm let me think. I got married at the age of 16 to you son who RAPED me yesterday! Oh I'm just dandy' I couldn't help but scream to myself. "I'm ok" I stated looking down at the floor . "Lift you head up high darling your family is going to be here in awhile" she smiled "even my mom?" "Yes, even your mom. Now brush you hair out before the lady comes to fix you, we are having a mini party "
"Ok aunty" I said since it's disrespectful to call your mother in law by her name. I knew about the party and that I had to wear the wedding dress again so people from Adams family can come 'see me'. Another tradition that I despise but I was too tired and so sore .

Before Raneem left my room Jenna appeared behind her and apparently heard our conversation. "Can the lady start on me please?" She asks Raneem walking right past her and into my room. She started staring at ever detail of the room from the carpet to the ceiling as if comparing it to hers a deep in was sure that's what she was doing ."I was thinking she should start with sara first" our mother in law says . "But I want her to start with me" Jenna says with attitude 'damn she is crazy I wouldn't dare talk like that especially to my husband's mom' Immediately I speak up "umm it's ok aunty she can start on her then do me I'm tired anyways." I dont mind going last although I wish there would be two ladies that do hair and makeup so things could be faster but that doesn't happen when there are two brides there's one lady so she could do the exact same thing for the two girls. So no one envy's the other. Stupid but true in most cases and Jenna did seem like the type that would make a problem if I got something extra or did something different. Aunty just nods and exits the room. Jenna followed but didn't forget to get a good look at the room once more before closing the door. 'Weirdo'

Seconds later the door swung open and my family walked in. My heart swelled and i got teary hugging my cousins and my beautiful mom. They quickly left to sit outside after giving me presents. All but Layla, my younger sister Hayla and my other cousin Aleia . We chatted and laughed until the lady walked in to do my hair and makeup . "I want to go see the other bride" Hayla says winking at Aleia "ya me too" Aleia says grinning . They are like two devils when they get together always causing trouble . "Hey whatever evil plan you two are making save it. Last thing I need is Jenna thinking I sent two spies to her room" I laughed .

"Oh so her name is Jenna hmm nice name" Hayla said with an evil smile . "Come on sara we won't do anything , just look" Aleia pleaded . I rolled my eyes at them and looked to Layla for help. "Hey don't look at me for the first time I agree with big bird and elmo" she pointed at the two and laughed . "Shut up" they said at the same time before running out the door hand in hand giggling . 'Oh god'
