Elli fanned her face, frantically trying to push back the tears of relief that threatened to come out. Her eyes were already swollen way too much from crying hearing the news of the car crash from Emma. She clutched her phone tight to her chest and sent a silent "thank you" to the heaven.
"What an idiot!" Elli grumbled in anger after her haywire emotions settled down. "Both of them are idiots."
A throat clearing sounded from near the door. Looking up Elli saw Misha leant against the doorframe with arms crosses, giving her a worried look.
"Why're you having a mental attack?" Misha asked.
With an angry huff Elli threw her hands up in the air. "My friend's fiance's friend - Oliver and her brother - Evan, they crashed their car while driving drunk. Fools!"
"It was Oliver who got hurt the most," Elli huffed, her eyes welling up. "Emma said that the doctors doubted at one point if he will even survive."
"Is he alright now?"
"Thank the God that he f***ing is. Though he's a broken leg and a bagful of other injuries now but serves that idiot right for braving behind the steering being drunk like a blind bat!" Elli grumbled with a scowl.
Misha strolled towards the bed and sat down next to her while she thumbed at the corners of her eyes. "He's a good friend of yours?"
"Who?" Elli asked absentmindedly while still swiping tears off her face.
"That guy," Misha tilted his head sideways to look at his sister. "Oliver."
Elli froze for a moment. Was Oliver a friend? Or an enemy? A lover? Boyfriend? No, he was none of those. He was her secret!
"A past neighbor," she replied and almost for real patted her own back for that smart one.
Sceptically Misha stared at her face and Elli didn't dare meet his eyes. She was aware of Misha's status as a secret romantic fiction writer, although he yet had to find success in publishing one. She wondered if Misha could tell that this innocent truth of her's had some exclusive, heart related matters concealed behind the lucidity.
And another day of her life passed in resisting herself from grabbing her phone and making a phone call to that impossible man, the urge to scream his ears off with the worst profanities existing on the earth was overwhelming but her logical side was far more imperious. She knew it would be a huge risk to her so called progress in forgetting him. The many voice mails from Oliver swarming her devil of a phone were a splendid temptation but she convinced herself to be wiser, and thus crossing the line was out of question.
After all, it was plainly not about only herself now, she had a child to think of who was and would always be on the top of her priority list.
That was exactly what she reminded herself while packing her bags, the destination was Emma's wedding which would doubtless be a grand occasion but Elli was determined to inject the fun factor into the whole thing - for her best friend Emma's sake, and for her own selfish sake as well. Because she was fed up of wallowing and the continuous stress over her uncertain future, her career and so on had been quite the worrying matter. She couldn't go on like this, in fact her doctor said the same thing - more like warned.
To make matters another notch worse it was not helping that she had been stressing even more to find out a method to remove the stress. The irony!
Therefore she hoped to make the wedding a perfect get away and revitalize her mind, and it was certainly a cherry on this massive cake knowing that Oliver would be on the absent list, considering that big, fat car crash of his. Emma had assured her about that. Obviously, it washed Elli with a sense of relief, and she ignored that brainless part of her that betrayed and coiled itself away in disappointment.

A quick and small chapter. I hope you all enjoyed reading it. :) The next will be obviously on Oliver's POV and if you've read You've Got A Way, you probably are aware of the fact that there'll be a whole new sort of craziness that will begin.
Surely, Emma here did a trick giving the wrong information to Elli. I would like to point out that she just wisely kept her promise to Elli and yet Oliver will meet her, and they'll have a chance now. A chance to go insane together, yeah!!!
Please don't forget to VOTE; COMMENT; FAN/FOLLOW and SHARE! That'll make me soooo happy. Take care till the next updt.
Love you all,
Lara.
