Elli opened the front doors in the morning only to discover the surprising sight of Oliver sleeping before the door curled into a ball.

Her heart lurched for the man standing near her feet, looking as vulnerable as a homeless child.

With eyes glistening she sat down on her knees softly, her fingers lightly touched the hair that had come to fall across his forehead. He looked even troubled in his sleep. Dirk circles underneath his eyes, reeking of booze, frowning slightly even in sleep - the sight broke Elli's heart. And she couldn't exactly count how many times in total her heart had been broken until now because of this impossible fool of a man sleeping on her doorstep.

The pathetic thing was she was powerless in stopping him, allowing every time, giving him the ultimate power to him of making and breaking her stupid heart.

"You're a disaster, Oliver," she murmured with a shaky sigh.

Because he looked like disaster had fallen over him and had overwhelmed him last night, because he was himself a disaster and she was still in love with him anyway.

Elli extracted her hand from is hair in time as John came upon to stand behind her and grunted in disbelief. Misha and Jim followed next, each delivering colorful comments and exaggerated reactions if not curses for the sake of the baby under processing.

It was a good thing that Daniel was still in bed, feeling not well this morning after all the high voltage drama yesterday. Elli could only imagine his father going gorilla and deterioting his own health in the process if he saw Oliver now.

Misha helped Elli to stand up holding her by the shoulders.

"Don't worry, sis, we'll remove him and send him away far from here," Misha said firmly and looked at the others who nodded and grunted in agreement.

"No," was Elli's firm reply.

"Take him inside to the bed, let him rest it out. It looks like he's stoned," she said turning her voice blank.

Her brothers looked at her incredulously.

"Dad would have a fit if he knows," John whisper yelled, that was not necessary though for Oliver wasn't moving a bit despite their neighbor's dog barking quite loudly since a while.

"I take the responsibility of calming him then," Elli said.

"How can you still defend him and take him inside home after everything he said and did yesterday and all those days before that!" Jim said in utter frustration.

Elli shook her head. "Oh, I haven't forgotten a thing from yesterday, brothers. It's because we both need to talk, and I need him awake and his head clear for that."
