I walked in to the classroom, with a mix of people. I was laughing at a joke that had been told before entering. Mr McDowell was at the front, like usual, with all his stuff prepared. He was a pretty hot teacher and I've sometimes stayed behind to chat. Just chat to him about other things other than school. Normally, he would tell me to shoo, but throw a small smile at me. Anna also had some sort of crush on him, too, but she back- chatted him a lot so she usually got detentions. Not a clever way to get on the teachers good sides OR have a good relationship with the teacher.

Taking my seat in the middle row of the class, not slap bang in the middle. Just roughly in the middle of the class. Since I knew Anna was going to be late, I hoped Duncan would come along. You know, just to keep me company and take the seat beside me instead of Anna. Not that I don’t like her, it’s just that me and Duncan are a couple and that was special to me.

Duncan sauntered in, to his seat in front of me. He looked at me and blushed. That was just typical of Duncan to do that. Blushing at someone he likes. Sure, he likes me. But I didn’t know him and Anna had gotten together. I smiled back at him before looking down. I was sort-of embarrassed myself. Many people know about Duncan and Me. It was sort of, nice since people knew. I was forever being dragged over to Duncan and his friends by Duncan, getting introduced to all his mates. I felt like I was special to Duncan and his mates knew that I thought that I was special to him. Duncan just loved me and he knew I knew that.

Then the bell went, ringing out to those latecomers that they were indeed late to lessons. I was snapped out of my day-dream of how I and Duncan would look like if we were married.

Those stragglers that had been lingering in the corridors walked in, mumbling their apologies about being late and saying that they’ll be on time next time. Unlikely for them. Anna came into view down the hallway, just few minutes after Sir had started teaching, before joining the whole class. I nodded towards her as she walked in the door.

"You finally joined us then Anna," I muttered as she took a seat, like usual. Anna just smiled towards me and rolled her eyes as she took a seat, hoping to go unnoticed by the teacher. Which didn't work at all. The moment that the teacher had finished speaking he had looked over to my table and spotted Anna leaning back on her chair. Shaking his head, he began to hand out the work-sheets that he had been speaking about, making his way to our table last. This was usual because he normally wanted to speak to Anna  about her lateness. I just sat there waiting patientially for my worksheet so that I could get on with the work and have no detention to worry about. Just as he reached our table, Anna dropped the chair onto all 4 legs and sat properly, acting as if she had been doing that for the whole time she had been in class, which wasn't that long to be honest.

"Hi sir! I know i'm late and it won't happen again. Honestly, it wasn't my fault. You see, Callie here leant me her homework to help me with the work and... I ran over time in the library," She told the teacher, with an enthusiastic tone, sending a glance in my direction before returning her gaze towards to the teacher, hoping to win him over. I just rolled my eyes, wondering why she had brought me in on all of this. Strange though, this hadn't happened before. Sure, she'd say that she'd borrowed someones homework, but never mine. Mr McDowell looked at me with this curious look, probably wondering why she had brought up my name too but I acted as if I couldn't care less. Everyone, including Duncan, turned round to face our table but he stared at me, trying to tell me something with his eyes. But I couldn't quite get it. I'd have to query it with him when I got to break.

Sighing, McDowell just shrugged and took his time walking back to the front. He was most probably contemplating on what punishment he should give to Anna. This would take him while. The thing that bothered me was Duncan was still staring at me, with his gaze flickering to Anna and back to me. Whatever he was trying to tell me.. It had to do with Anna and that didn't sound too good, whatever it was.
