Garroth breathed out shakily as he carried the old leather saddle over to the tall Snow White horse that was resting in the stable. "Hey there, boy..." Garroth muttered, getting ready to heave the saddle on. "This may feel a little uncomfortable, but just bear with me.." He muttered, throwing the saddle onto the horse. Garroth held out his hand in front on the stallion, there was a few carrot bits in his palm that would hopefully distract the horse while Garroth prepared him, so that he wouldn't make much noise.
The horse gratefully ate and Garroth started to tighten the saddle and put on the reins. "Okay, we're going to go on a little trip..." Garroth whispered. He pulled up the hood on his cloak so that it was hiding his face. He put his foot in one of the stirrups and pushed himself up, throwing his leg over the back of the animal. The stallion started to move restlessly and Garroth kicked at the side with his heels, making the horse trot forward. The blonde smiled to himself and kicked again, causing the animal to go into a full cantor down the empty path leading to the gate. Luckily his father was holding a festival at the town center, which was where Garroth was supposed to be at that moment, promising to take lordship if his father were to pass. But the many lords from smaller villages were going to be in for quite the shock when Garroth didn't show.
There weren't many guards at the gate, but even then, it was still high security so of course Garroth was stopped before exiting to his freedom. "We didn't see you enter, who are you?" The guard asked, not moving any muscles other than to talk and look suspiciously at the boy. "I'm a messenger, sending an urgent message to the lord of Scaleswind.. You wouldn't want this letter to arrive late, or Garte would have your head for making me late.." Garroth lied smoothly through his teeth, in a deeper voice. "O-oh! I apologize, you may exit." The guard said, looking at the ground.
Garroth smiled and cantered off into the darkness of the night. The moon was at its highest peek in the sky and the light illuminated the forest that he was riding through. With only a few materials that he could fit in his pockets, Garroth was ready to start a new life, he was no longer a Ro'Maeve.
