Garroth couldn't breath, he was scared out of his mind. Obviously that man wasn't there on friendly terms, he was looking to kill. Garroth quickly scrambled to his feet and placed a hand on his neck. Once he pulled back, his eyes widened at the sight. His fingertips were painted with his own blood, he shuddered at the thought of how close he was to death. He was scared, and that's what caused the adrenaline rush. Garroth turned on his heals and hightailed it out of there.
He ran through the forest, not stopping and not looking back. Even when Garroth started to get out of breath he didn't stop. Only after about an hour, Garroth realized he must have been running in circles, no matter how many times he's turned a certain way, he always seemed to end up in the same place.
Garroth kept running though, until he tripped over something. He tried to get up but his body refused. Garroth groaned and slammed his head against to cold ground. "I should have just stayed in O'khasis.." He muttered. His fist curled around some grass and he ripped it up. "I'm sorry.." He whispered, tears streaming down his face. "I'm sorry, Mummy, I'm sorry, Zane.. Vylad.. I feel like I've failed you.." He sniffed. Garroth had no idea why he was feeling like this, maybe the fact that he left the place he was raised and loved, the fact that he was abandoning his old life, and that he almost died in his new on. He sat up and wiped the tears from his eyes. "No, I need to keep moving." He said, picking himself up and walking deeper into the forest.
A while later he finally hit an opening in the canopy of trees. There was a small hut in the middle, covered with vines and plants all around it. "H-hello!?" Garroth yelled, placing a hand cupped near his mouth to project his voice. He took a step towards the hut, putting his hood over his head again to assure that there wasn't going to be any immediate recognition towards him. "Hello!" He called out again. "Does anyone live here!?" His hand dropped to his side and he sighed. Garroth walked up to the front door and knocked, stepping back after he did. There was no answer at the door, but he did hear some shuffling inside and before he knew it, he was surrounded by multiple tree like creatures. Garroth screamed and fell back.
He sat up and looked around at them, they didn't seem to be attacking but still he kept his guard up in case they were leading him on. The two that were in front of him disappear and in their place stood an old woman with a blue cloth draped over her purple robes. "U-Uhm.. W-who are y-you?" Garroth stuttered. The woman stepped towards him and smiled warmly. "Hello there, young one.. I am Hyria.."
