Warning: This is a dark one

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I can see the building, I look up at Asher and smirk sneakily. "RACE YOU TO THE LIFT!" I yell and pull away from his arm and take off running to the building.

"HEY! NO FAIR!" he yells behind me but chases after me.

I was running up the stairs when he bounds up past me and to the lift. He stands in the lobby with a smug look of victory on his face. I roll my eyes at him and press the button annoyed that he beat again! We've been running for a while now and I could tell I was improving, but I wanted to beat Asher just so that I can rub it in his face that he was older than me. I liked to annoy him and beating him at something felt like this would knock his ego down a couple of notches. Asher pulls me to him and hugs me tightly before leaning down to kiss me.

"Mr Billiard?" A man's voice calls from the foyer of the building and we pull apart instantly.

The guy was working at the front desk, or reception, I didn't know which but he worked in the building, I had seen him around before.

"Yes?" Asher asks getting serious now.

"There's a letter for you" He replies uncomfortably and hands the rectangular envelope to Asher.

I look at the letter and saw the embroidery on the envelope. The designs were really pretty and it looked like one of those olden day envelopes. I was tempted to peek behind to check for a wax stamp that sealed the letter. I stare at the embroidery and fight with the urge to take it from Asher just to touch it and smell it. It really looked like a letter from the past. I was into that kinda thing....it gave me the Beauty and the Beast feels.

"Thank you," Asher says in a dismissive tone. He glances at the envelope and frowns.

"Who's it from?" I ask him as the lift doors open for us.

"No one important," Asher says pushing me against the back of the lift and presses his lips against mine effectively distracting me.

I smirk against his lips as his free hand snakes around my waist and pulls me up to him. His body bends over me and I hook my arms around his neck. I had never been willingly kissed before. I never thought I'd like the experience but turns out I loved it. It felt like my body was being torn apart and put together all over again. The first time he kissed me was at the park right after he made me so mad at him for getting me wet. At the moment, I thought I had been shot and was floating up to heaven but really, I was being kissed and by Asher of all people. My heart didn't seem to be able to cope with that ever happening. It still seemed to find it difficult to accept that idea, it stopped and sputtered forward whenever Asher's lips pressed against mine and I fell into this hazy meadow of perfect blissfulness. It always felt like he pulled away too quickly.

That first time, everything was perfect: Asher was right in front of me, too close for two human beings. When he leaned in his lips were soft and smooth, I never gave much thought to lips before but Asher's were the best. I might be biased there, but to me, he was the best. He didn't rush the kiss. He waited for me to get used to his lips first. Then he began nibbling and biting at my lip asking for me to open. Most importantly, he asked me if he could kiss me! I had never been asked, only when he asked it, did I realise that I even wanted him to kiss me.

I loved his kisses on my forehead, hand and cheek, but the kisses on my lips were the best. I was always leaning in for more when he pulled away and Asher loved that I wanted more cause he was ready to give me more. Except for today, when the lift doors open, he pulls away and walks into the apartment without even a second glance.
