Chapter 4

~Lia's P.O.V~

When we have gotten into the car I looked at my brother, like really looked him. It had been five years since I seen him after all. He had gotten taller probably around 6'7" or 6'8". His skin had gotten darker; he used to be light skinned now he's more of a caramel. His eyes are more hazel if that's even possible I don't know.

He used to have a weird cat fetish "Do you have a cat" I asked before I make an assumption that is most likely correct, but I still want to make sure. "Yes, and her name is Ms. Fluffers. She's two months old." He says still looking at the road. I figured he did, because back in Texas he had several cats that would come and he'd feed them.

He pulled into the driveway and turned the car off. I looked up at the house. It was huge like Grand Canyon huge. Okay, maybe not that big,but it was still huge. I could tell from the outside that there was three levels. The house has a modern look to it. "Uh..I thought you were still in college. What happened? You married a rich girl and she let you live in your house." I said jokingly and nudged him with my elbow.

"Ha...No I'm not married nor in a relationship. I am still in college, but I have a job as an audiologist and I'm helping develop hearing aids people in Africa who can't hear. They just released the first dozen and so far so good." He said smiling at his accomplishments. "My gosh, you like cats you are helping people who can't hear. Are you sure you're single?" I questioned with a smirk on my face.

"The single thing is because I just ended a relationship with a girl named Heather. She cheated on me, so yeah." He said looking a little down. Oh no, not today. He is not about to become Mr. Broken Heart on me today. "Well you wanna know something?" I asked looking him in the eyes. "What?" He asked. "It's her loss not yours." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.

After we got out the car and walked into his house excuse me I mean castle, he gave me a tour. He shouldn't me the kitchen, bathrooms, his room the outside pool, and his little kitten. The last stop the tour was my room. The room had two twin beds in it with a night stand in the middle. The covers were orange and the pillows were red, peach and pink which are my favorite colors by the way.

"I put two beds in here, because, you and a friend can spend the night in here, or you can push them together and make one big bed which ever one you want." He said nervously. "Thanks Isaac, it looks great and you remembered my favorite colors." I said dropping my bag on one of the beds. He gave a wide smile "Well I'm glad you like it. Call me if you need anything. Seriously call my phone I can't hear anything on the third floor." He chuckled.

I looked down at my hands a little embarrassed at what I'm about to say " I uh I don't actually own a phone." I had said still looking at my hands. "Well we'll just have to fix that." He pulled out his phone and pulled up a website then handed the phone to me. "Pick which one you like." He said. I was looking through the pictures of phones. Then there was a really cool one with the screen going all the way to the sides. I looked at the name of was Samsung s7 edge. "That one" I said touching the picture of the phone.

He looked at it then nodded." Okay it will be here by tomorrow morning. Oh and one more thing." He said this time only his head is sticking in the doorway. I nodded for him to continue. "I'm about to go register you for school today and I need to know are you a sophomore or junior?" He asked. I shook my head no "I'm a senior, because I got all of my college credit in ninth grade."

He looked shocked or surprised I couldn't tell which. "I'm impressed little sister. I'm leaving fifty dollars on the counter cause I got to go do some stuff afterwards. Don't be gone too long because you still have school in the morning." He said leaving my room. "Same to you young man." I yelled down the hallway mocking his voice. He laughed and left the house.

Two hour later

I had finished unpacking and now was hungry. I made my way to the kitchen. I open the fridge and there is nothing in there except for some refillable water bottles.

I dug into my pocket and got my keys and the fifty dollars off the counter. Lets take my new car for a test drive.

I went to the garage and turned the light on. There was a 2016 Lincoln MKZ sitting under the light. It was the only one in there so I guess it's my car. I squealed , best big brother ever.
