Chapter 9

~Lia's P.O.V~

After the lunch incident Ashleynn and I headed to sixth period, which was the last period of the day.

As we were walking the guy I was sitting next to at lunch came up to us. "Hey Ash, did you finish your part  project that was due today?" He asked looking a little nervous. I didn't notice that he had on a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbow and, a black tie.

Basically he looked like he was ready for church. "Yes I did and it's right here." She said digging into her purse and pulling out  a folder of papers. he sighed and relaxed his shoulder and noticed me. "Hey, I'm Toby Keith your new here right? Ooh I like your scarf by the way." He said sticking out his hand. "Hey, I'm Lia and yes I'm new how'd know?" I asked Toby who is now walking with us. "Well, anyone that stands up to Heather has to be new." He said with a smile.

I playful shoved his shoulder with mine. He looked over at Ashleynn. "Should I tell her?" He asked her. "She'll be here for a while." She said still looking ahead. He let out a heavy breath and looked at me. "I'm gay." He said. I turned and gave him a hug. "That took alot of courage to tell me, who else knows." I asked releasing him from the hug.

"Only you, Ashley, my parents of course, and Heather." I must have had looked surprised cause after that he said "She kinda saw me making out with someone at s party and she threatened to tell the school if I ever went against her." He finished rubbing the back if his head nervously.

I had noticed Ashleynn stopped walking. "Well again thank you for telling me." I said embracing him into another hug. After a few seconds I let him go. I felt like someone was staring at me I turned to see Nathan looking. I gave a small wave before entering class

~Nathan's P.O.V~

She hugged him. She fucking hugged him. Why didn't I get a hug? Us there something wrong with me? I was getting angry the more I thought about it that's when Josh nudges my with his elbow.

"Dude let it go, it was just a hug. Jeez." He said slapping me in the back of the head. "That's not it, man. I just want to know why didn't get one. Was it something I did? I said?" I finished pulling on my hair. "Dude relax, the way y'all were flirting, I think she may like you." He said shoving me with his  shoulder.

"Yeah, maybe your right." I said but, I had a plan to make sure.

~One Hour Later~
(Still Nathan's P.O.V)

Since last period was my free period I was waiting for Ashleynn's class to be let out. The door had finally opened then I saw Ashleynn, Lia, and Toby had walked out.

I walked up to Ashleynn. "Hey, I gotta ask you something it's kinda private." I said pulling her arm to were Toby and Lia were out of ear shot. "What's up?" She said.

"I need you to get some information from Lia." I said with a serious face. She furrowed her eyebrows. "Information? Like what?" She said folding her arms. "Like what does she think of interracial couples? Does she go to church? Would her family be accepting to that? And most of all what does she think of me?" I said shaking her shoulders.

"What's in it for me?" She questioned her arms still folded. "If you do this for me I Will give you five whole bags of starburst gummies." I finished. She gasped "Deal, now how am I supposed to do this." She asked ready to set the plan.

"Wait till it's just you and her then ask for a ride home because you forgot that Josh had practice and you need to get home to make dinner because it's your turn to cook. I'll tell Josh that your riding with Lia so don't worry about that got it?" I said looking at her. She nodded. "Good now run along." I said shooing her away.

~Lia's P.O.V~

Ashleynn had finally came back. "Hey is everything okay?" I asked out of concern. "Yeah everything is fine he just had a stupid question." She said nodding her head.

"Well I gotta go I have baseball practice. I'll see y'all tomorrow." Toby said walking in the opposite direction of us. "Damn it." Ashleynn said. "What's wrong?" Asked hoping it wasn't anything serious.

"I forgot Josh had basketball practice today and I need a ride home because it's my night to cook." She said running a hand through her hair. "I'll give you a ride my car is in the parking lot." I said as we continued to walk down the hallway.

She clapped her hands. "Really, your the best Lia." She said jumping up and down. "Hey let me just get my bag and we can go." I said seeing my locker come into view. I opened it and pulled out my book bag then closed my locker. "Let's go." I said turning back to Ashleynn.

Once we got into to the car I started it up and the engine along with the radio had came on. Feeling Myself by Beyonce ft. Nicki Minaj was on. "Ooh I love this song." She said before she started singing.

"I'm with some hood girls looking back at it, And a good girl in my tax bracket, Got a black card that let Saks have it, these Chanel bags bags is a bad habit, I do balls, Dal Mavericks, my Maybach, black magnet, Bitch never left but, I'm back at it." She sang and rapped the rest of the song till the end while giving me directions to her house.

Afterwards she started asking me questions such as interracial relationships and stuff like that which was really weird but, I still answered them truthfully. After I had dropped her off she gave me het phone number and I did the same. When I got home seeing as  had no homework I had caught up on  Jane the Virgin till I feel asleep.

a/n: so I kinda felt bad that I didn't update for a total of two days. I've been really busy because, my family reunion is coming up. So I made this one really long but, anyway I hope you enjoy
