I had jumped into the the car. On the inside it was black leather seating. I had pushed the key into the ignition and started it up. The first thing I did was turn on the radio to my favorite station,104.3 WZYP.

I put in the directions to Publix into the GPS and followed. It said I was about fifteen minutes away from the nearest one. Five minutes into the drive FOOLS by Troye Sivan, had come on.

"Only fools fall for you, only fools." I started to sing. "Only fools do what I do, only fools fall. Only fools fall for you, only fool. Only fools do what I do, only fools fall." I had sang the rest of the song and by the time it ended I was driving into the parking lot of Publix.

I had walked into the store and grabbed a cart and started pushing it trough the aisles. I had found all I needed to make chicken Alfredo. I was at a check out line with some old man with a receding hairline was eyeballing me as he checked out my groceries. "Looks like you are making an Alfredo which is one of my favorite foods. I like to slurp up the noodles, but that's not the only thing I like to slurp." The old man said flashing me a smile with two of his teeth missing and the others either black or yellow.

The guy bagging my groceries was trying to stiffen a laugh. He was really cute too. He had brunette hair, from where I was standing you could see he had a very defined jaw line, but he was holding his head down to where I couldn't see his eyes.

"Your total is $23.15 and don't forget my offer." The old man said. I handed him the fifty dollars. He gave me back my change and winked at me. "Hey newbie, why don't you help her take these bags to her car?" He yelled at the guy bagging my groceries. He looked up at me then nodded and proceeded to push my cart out into the parking lot.

I quickly followed him thankful to be away from that creepy old man. "Hey, um I know he told you to help me, but you don't have to. I can take it from here." I had told the guy. He turned his head looking at me,now that I was close to him, his eyes were a hazel color with a little bit of green in them.

"I'm not doing this because he told me to, I'm doing it because I want to." He said with a smirk. "I'm Nathan by the way." He said looking forward now. "I'm Lia. My car is right there." I pointed to it. He looked shocked "Is that a Lincoln?" He asked. "It is a 2016 Lincoln MKZ with leather seating, installed GPS and heating/cooling seats." I said mocking the voice of a car sails man. He chuckled "You know a lot about cars?" He said leaning on the cart. "Yeah, just enough to keep me from being stranded in the middle of nowhere." I said popping the trunk. He smiled and started putting the bags in the car.

After he was finished he closed the trunk. "I know your not supposed to take tips, but can you take this?" I held out a ten dollar bill.

He grabbed the money turned my hand over to it's palm. He then folded the money up and put it in my hand, closed my fingers on top of it. He brought my hand up to his mouth then kissed it. "Until we meet again milady." He said walking away with the cart. I got in the car smiling. Wow I think I'm going to like California.

Later that evening I was putting the final touches on my Alfredo when the front door opened "Hey little sister what are you making, because it smells really good and I'm really hungry." Isaac said sitting down in one if the chairs at the island in front of me. "Chicken Alfredo" I said putting some on two plates.

Once I sat his plate in front of him he dug in. After he finished he looked at me "That was really good. I know a few chefs who would go out of business if you owned a restaurant." He said jokingly. The rest of the night was spent playing and joking with my brother.

a/n: I know this one is rather short. This was more of a filler chapter. The next one will be longer and a little bit more detailed.
