I walked around the city, it was a cold day, snow fell out of the sky. I wrapped my arms around my thin body, trying to gain some heat without succes, I sat down on a bench and looked over the canals, I sighed, I had no money left, I live in a crappy appartment where it's even colder inside then outside, I had no friends and all I really wanted was to drink either a beer or a coffee, people walked by, smiling and having fun in the snow, I sighed again 'i hate this' I whispered to myself 'wait you hate snow?' A male voice asked from behind me, 'no I hate life' I said and the guy sat down next to me 'just cause you're having a bad day doesnt mean you have a bad life' he said nicely 'well, to be honest, its not just a bad day, it's been alot of bad days the last two years' I said holsing back my tears, 'hey, my name is stijn, what's your name?' The guy said, I looked at him, he had brown eyes, they were kind, 'i'm Hayley, nice to meet you' I said and he smiled at me, 'do you like coffee?' He asked and I nodded 'i do yes, why?' I asked 'come on, I was going to meet a friend who lives a few houses away from here, you can join, drink some coffee, maybe have a good day?' He said kindly 'i uh I coulsnt really, thanks' I said and I stood up 'hey, come on, it'll be fun, im not a crazy murderer, I promise' he said and laughed a bit at his last words 'okay okay, ill come' I said and we started walking 'its over here' he said and pointed at the door, he rang the bell 'gotta wait for a bit, maybe he's playing guitar' Stijn said and I nodded 'he's a musician?' I asked and Stijn nodded 'Yeah, he won the best singer song writer, I dont know if you watched it' Stijn said and I nodded 'Douwe bob right?' I asked and stijn smiled 'yep thats right' he said 'crazy talented that guy' I said and the door swung open 'hey mannnn' Douwe said and hugged his friend 'who'd you bring?' Douwe asked and looked at me with a smile 'This is Hayley, met her just a few minutes ago, she's been having alot of bad days the past two years, I wanted to see if we could make this a good day for her' stijn said and douwe walked out and shook my hand 'Life is beautiful, really' he said with a warm smile 'yeah, for some' I wisperd 'come on in, it's freezing outside' douwe said and walked inside 'ladies first' stijn said and I walked inside, Douwe had a nice house, art hanging on the walls, a piano in his living room, a few guitars standing everywhere 'nice place' I said as I looked around 'thanks! Want some coffee?' He asked 'sure' I said and smiled kindly at him, 'sit down' stijn said with a smile, I sat down at the kitchen table and douwe brought the coffee's in, 'all black or want some sugar with it?' He asked, 'uh sugar thanks' I said 'so tell us about you hayley, why so many bad days?' Stijn asked, I sighed 'are you sure you want this story? It's pretty depressing and boring' I said and douwe sat down 'yes, tell' douwe said, his blue eyes met mine and I sighed, 'alright then' I said.
