Jake Nolte smiked to himself as he was doing his tie for the night. In no time he was going to culminate his masterpiece plan to get closer to Emma Styles. The girl was definitelly not expecting it.
Emma was at her hotel room finishing the last touches of her makeup. She had her gala dress laid on top of the covers of her bed while the curler was heating up. She was still surprised by Liam's call early in the morning telling her that Mr Goh had decided to prepare a fancy dinner in celebration of the great presentations delivered the previous day.
She didn't want to attend because attending will mean spending time with no other than Jake Nolte. However, she knew she had to or Mr Goh will find it rude and the contract will definitelly go to Jake's hands.
She had spend the day shopping for a fancy dress and accessories to wear at the gala due to the fact that she brought none with her. Then she had showered and began her get ready routine.
When her makeup was done, she got dressed and then curled her hair to give it more volume. When she was done, she put money, her phone, the key to her room and her lipgloss on a clutch and stepped out of the room.

She walked to Liam's room and knocked on it. He opened the door and Emma's jaw dropped as soon as she saw his state. He was still on his pajamas but he looked awful. He was obviously sick.
"OMG Liam are you okay?" She asked worried.
"Not really. I think I ate something in bad state because I can't leave the toilet if you know what I mean." He explained.
"Oh god! Do you want me to stay and call a doctor?" Emma suggested concerned about him.
"No Emma you need to go to that dinner and represent Styles Inc. I am going to be fine, don't worry." Liam said to her putting up a smile of resurance.
"Are you sure? I don't know if I am ready to go there on my own." She said insecure of herself.
"I am. Just go, I trust you and I know you are prepared for this. You look beautiful by the way." Liam said trying to cheer her up.
"Thank you. I will try my best to get this contract Liam." Emma said with determination.
"I know you are going to get it. I will be in my room, most likely my toilet, if you need me." Liam told her. "Good luck!"
She thanked him again and then left. Liam smiled as soon as she left, she has believed everything. He was asked by Mr Goh to fake he was sick so he will not appear to the dinner. Apparently Jake Nolte asked him to do that and Liam agreed. He knew there was something between Jake and Emma even if she was against it. She worked so hard and barely ever dated, it was about time she got to experience that and more so with someone like Jake who was completely different to her.
