When Emma woke up the next morning, the biggest smile appeared on her face when she remembered what had happened the previous night. She had given herself to the man she was in love with.

"Jake." She whispered reciving no answer.

She turned around expecting him to lay behind her on the bed but was surprised to find the space next to her empty. She frowned and touched the space feeling it cold under her palm. She tought she may have dreamed everything but her naked state and the slight pain in between her legs told her otherwise.

"He must be in the bathroom." She thought.

She stepped out of bed and grabbed a robe to conceal her naked body. She walked to the bathroom but it was empty. That was when she realised that there was only her clothes laying uncarefully on the floor. Nothing from him, not even a note.

"Maybe he has send me a text." She thought.

She ran to her clutch where she had left her phone the night before. She retrieved the iPhone and checked it for message. Hundred of missed call and messages pilled up and she became nervous about something happening to Jake.

However, no messages were from him. All of them were from Liam asking her where she was. She was about to miss Mr Goh's final decision meeting. She literaly had 15 minutes to get to his office so she ran to the shower and cleaned up. Then quickly put some dress on and hells.

She ran to the first taxi she found and gave them the direction to Mr Goh's building. On the way she applied some make up and combed her hair. It was a minute before the start of the meeting when she ran towards the room in which it was held.

Everybody looked her way when she entered. They all frowned at her not so put together look so uncommon on her. She smoothed her dress and ran a hand through her hair making sure she was not looking ridiculous.

"I am sorry for being late." She apologised.

"No problem Ms Styles. I asume you didn't have the best night. Mr Payne told me you were unwell." Mr Goh said.

Emma looked at Liam and silently thanked him for covering up for her before she turned to Mr Goh and thanked him for his concerns about her health. She finally breahted and made her way towards Liam.

She froze halfway there when she saw no other than Jake seating across from her. He was smirking at her as she sat down on her chair. Could he...? He knew we had this meeting and he didn't bother to woke me up. The nerve!

"I have come to a decision. It has been almost impossible to choose because both proposals are fantastic and appealing. I wish I could take both but I know that is impossible." Mr Goh said. "I have finally decided to choose Nolte Inc."

Emma's hopes broke in that moment as she saw Jake raising from his seat and shocking Mr Goh's hand with determination and happiness. He looked at Emma and smirked again in victory. In that moment, Emma understood. He has been playing her from moment one to distract her from winning the contract to win himself.

"Congratulation Mr Nolte. You have been a fair competitor." Liam said next to me.

I was supposed to congratulate him but I couldn't move from my seat. My heart has been ripped out of my chest and crushed by the backstabber Jake Nolte. How could I be so stupid? I let myself be fooled by the biggest player of New York and I even give him my virginity!
