Sticking Up for One Another

Zay's POV

I woke up to one of my brothers shaking me awake. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I looked up and saw Ponyboy sitting at the end of my bed. I smiled and he smiled back. I jumped out of bed and went to the living room. He followed me out and went to the kitchen instead. I turned the tv on and sat on the couch. I watched Mickey again

"C'mon Zay, time to leave" Soda said.

"Okay" I said all upset. I didn't want to leave just yet. Ponyboy turned the tv off and I took his hand. I walked with him to school and he was talking to me or himself. I wasn't paying attention to what he wanted to say. We got to school and I walked up the path. Pony just watched me leave and Jayden ran up to me.

"Hey Zay" He said.

"Hi Jay" I said.

"Wanna eat lunch with me today"

"I think you might wanna eat on your own" I said.

"Why is that?" He asked.

"Because kids take my lunch and throw it at me. I never eat lunch either"

"I won't let them bother you at lunch. Trust me and I bet you look great even with food in your hair"

"Thanks Jay, but food doesn't bother me. It's the queen bee that bothers me"

"Emily?"

"Yeah" The bell rang and we walked inside the school and went to class. I sat at my desk where I am surrounded by the three boys. They still have black eyes because of me and I still have one from the boy behind me. Jay's sits at the very back and in the corner, next to other boys. The boy behind me leaned over my shoulder and whispered to me " Nice boyfriend. You actually have a friend now" He said. I ignored what he said. But the next time him or one of the other two bug me I am so beating them up big time. The teacher isn't here yet and I can't wait for her to be here.

"White trash and greasy hair. Lookee here" He said.

"I'm good"

"Your a nothing and you have nobody" He said. I am getting so mad, because I know that's not true. At least I think it's not true. I turned around and slapped him in the face. He went to the ground holding his face and the other two boys got up and held me. They got my arms so I couldn't move. He got up and punched me in the stomach. Jayden got up and pushed the boy to the ground.

"Leave her alone" He said. He got a hold of me and he put me behind him. He punched one in the head and he fell. I took on one and he took the other one. I kicked the one in the stomach. Everyone got scared and screamed. They got up from their desks and went to the sides of the class. The desks are all over the place. He shot up and flipped me over his back and I fell onto a desk and then fell off the other side.

"I said don't touch her" Jayden yelled. He punched the one guy in the stomach. I got up and tackled the one who was gonna punch Jayden. I sat on his back and twisted his arm. Jayden kicked the one and he has two fighting him. I twisted his arm real hard and then punched him. I heard a crack and I know I broke his arm. I got off him and he went to the side of the class holding his arm. I helped Jayden. He has one guy on the ground. The one fighting me now pushed me and I bashed my whole face off the side of the desk. He pinned me to the ground and punched my lip. Jayden punched the one guy and then pushed the guy off of me. The teacher came in yelling and screaming. She pulled Jayden off the guy and separated us.

"Enough, the office now" She said and pointed to the door. The five of us went to the office all bloody and cut up. Jayden and I are limping and he smiled at me. I smiled back.

"Thank you Jayden"

"I don't want to see you hurt" He said. That warmed my heart and I knew he was a nice friend. I bet we'll stick together through ups and downs. We all got to the office and the principal took us all into his office. I sat with Jayden beside me. Then on the other side of the room sat the three of them.
