Twenty One

Asher's POV:

it's been two weeks. I haven't seen her since that moment. My cousin talks about her now though. They're friends again. She hasn't made up with her mother yet apparently. I think they plan on having lunch or some shit sometime soon. I've hung out with Eric but only when his sister wasn't home. He doesn't know about what happened between Erin and I but i can tell he k owe something.

I miss her. I've liked her since the day I met her but now that I had her she's gone. I'm a player. An asshole. A prick. I wasn't always like this. I'm not trying to steel Erin's story here but I've changed, too. It happened a few years before she changed. She was hot and we were only 14 and 13. She got her first boyfriend that year. His name was Dylan he was a dick. He was 15 and the schools fuckboy. Even though he was 2 years younger he wanted her like everyone else. I was pretty popular too. I wasn't so much a player but I was popular. I saw that he was getting her attention so I started dating every girl in school. It started getting out of hand as time went on and now I'm just addicted to sex and girls. There's nothing I could do. I'd cheat on her and hurt her and it's not worth it. I'd ruin her all over again. I'm an asshole and she deserves better. I don't know how to show emotion. What to say or what to feel.

Erin's POV:

"Nevaeh I'll kick your ass into tomorrow" I chuckled and she was about to shoot me with a nerf gun. We were in a fight with my brother and my cousins. A nerf fight of course. We were at the annual family barbecue. Cliche right? Yeah I know. We're at my aunt Cameron's house. Even Aaron and Jack , my dads friends, are here with their wives and daughters. I had to bring Nevaeh along though because we're best friends again.

The teams for the nerf fight are Eric, Carlie(Cameron's daughter), Austin(Ethan's son), Lennon, and Ella(Aaron's daughter) and then there's Me , Ashay (Ethan's daughter) , Nevaeh, Kendall(Jack Dails daughter) and Kayla (Jacks other daughter).

Now for what you all have been waiting for, no neither of my parents are here. They casually didn't show Which pisses me off. I'm finally ready to talk to them and they're not here. I mean two weeks is a lot but I needed to get my stuff together. I started showing up at school and patched up my old friendships. Oh and I spoke to Noah. We're on good terms I guess.

"Eric stop!" I yelled as he ran after me with his water gun.
"Not this time" he smirked as he through me over his shoulder. I screamed as he held me over the pool.
"Please! Don't do this!" I shrieked as he dropped me over the edge. Suddenly his eyes went wide and me dropped me in. As I came back to the top of the water. I saw what he as gaping at. My dad was walking into the yard not giving me a single glance. My mother followed shortly behind making everyone stop and stare. My uncle Ethan and Jack sprung up and hugged her saying things like "I can't believe I haven't seen my best friend in 16 years" . Not wanting to see my dad I sunk to the bottom of the pool. I sometimes just like to lay on the bottom and watch the bubbles from my mouth float to the top. 

Each bubble slowly floats up. And then Pop! They reach the surface. My eyes began to sting so I closed them. Now wondering how long I've been under here. A minute maybe? I can hold my breathe for about a minute and a half from swim. Just as I was going to open my eyes and swim back up I felt someone pulling me up.
"What the fuck was that Erin!" Eric began yelling dragging me to the front of the yard.
"Eric I was fine what are you talking about!" I defended.
"You were going to drown yourself like that!" He said back looking like he was going to cry "you can't keep running away from dad. He  wasn't going to come today because he was scared uncle Ethan would be mad at him for the things he said to you."
"That's the problem! He wasn't scare to see me he was scared to see his prized brother upset." I said turning back to where everyone was seated. Even tough we moved across the yard they could still hear us yelling. I looked to my dad who was looking back at me. The minute our eyes met I took a deep breathe.
"Eric can you just take me back to uncle Ethan's?" I sighed.
"How will Lennon get home?" He asked.
"She can ride with dad he drove here in a deprecate car than you clearly" I said agitated.
"She's not talking to him..." Eric muttered.
"Why not!" I said kind of confused. Why would she not be talking to him, he didn't do anything to her.
"He got drunk a few night ago and I guess hit her. I mean he's hit is before when we were little and did something terrible, but the way he hit her was beyond that" Eric said  sighing.
"HE DID WHAT" I screamed more mad than ever. He could be little and yell at me, but he will not unjustifiyingly hit my sister.

I stormed over to my dad and I did something I didn't know I had the balls to do. I grabbed his beer and poured it over his head.
"You might not want to be drinking considering you might hit your child again" I said through gritted teeth " you know no matter how depressed or mad I was I never doubted you being a good dad, but right now I could t be more sure that your a terrible one" I spat than turned to my uncle Ethan. "I'm going to head home uncle E, I have a key to get in" I said and than smiled at my aunt Tyler. "Oh and can I take Lennon over with me to spend the night?" I asked them.
"Actually I think tats a great idea. Eric should go with you guys too, I think your father could use some time to get his shot together" my uncle said standing up and pulling me into a tight hug.
"Actually before you leave is really like to talk to you Erin" Savanah said timidly.
"I'd love that." I smiled at her.

Hey guys! Been a while but I hope you like this part I tried to make it long. The next part is going to be very crazy. Savanah and Erin are finally talking.
