the period finishes and then the bell rings one last time for the end of the day
"First day and already have detention" I sighed as I packed my books up and stood up
"remember to speak with me miss!" Mr Dylan looks at me
"Okay." I sighed and stood there
"You want us to stay here?" Grayson looks at me
"No." I shook my head
"We'll be outside" Hannah smiled
I nodded
"So? Care to explain?" Mr Dylan looks at me
"I just lost track of time that's all" I say
"It's them boys isn't it? When I spoke to you on the phone before you came here when you were back in New Zealand you seemed like you'd be such an amazing and sweet student, but you're not Maddie." Mr Dylan says
"I'm sorry to disappoint you. It was literally just a simple mistake. I'll take my punishment." I sighed
"Detention for two weeks. And extra home work for 3. If you put one foot wrong I'll remove you out of my class." Mr Dylan puts his foot down
"Okay." I sighed
"That's all!? That's all you have to say!?!?" He stood up as he starts to get really mad
"I said sorry.." I look at mr Dylan confused
Before I knew it, he hit me.
"What was that for?!" I look at Mr Dylan
"For being a disappointment . See you in detention." He signals me out of the class room
I pick up my books and walk out covering my eye before heading to my locker to cover it up before Grayson saw it
"Hey you!" Grayson puts his arms around me
"Hi" I said after I jumped
"You okay?" Grayson looks at me concerned
"Yes I'm fine." I look at him
"So what happened?" Ethan says
"Yeah! How'd it go!?" Hannah adds
"I got two weeks detention and 3 weeks of extra homework." I sighed
"Damn babe. He was rough on you" Grayson smirked
"Yeah he was..." I sighed
"You sure you're okay?" Aaron looks at me
"I'm fine. I have to go. I have detention." I walk off
"Babe, I do too, remember?" Grayson looks at me
"Oh yeah" I said
"You sure you're fine? You really don't seem like it.." Grayson looks at me
"Yeah I'm fine. I just want detention to be over." I sighed
"If you say so babe" Grayson smiled
we walk into detention and the people who are always there are still there, Jack, AJ, Ash, and Charlie
"Looks like we got a new comer here boys!" Aj smirks
"Yo" Jack smiled as he walked up and greeted Grayson
"Hey dude!" Grayson greeted Jack
"So what brings y'all here?" Jack smiled
"Mr Dylan" I sigh sitting in my seat
"We got distracted and missed periods 3-5 and including lunch" I add also
"Oh distracted aye" Ash smirks
"Not like that dude! We were just out shopping" Grayson smiled
"Oh yeah! Everyone loses track of time shopping! Any other punishments y'all get?" Jack smiled
"Nothing man! Just detention!" Grayson smiled
"And you miss?" Charlie smiled
"Detention, a warning to be kicked out if of his class if I put another foot wrong, 3 extra weeks of homework and a punch in the face" I sighed and didn't say anything to anyone until detention was over then I walked out and walked out
"Wait!" Grayson chases after me
"What?" I sighed
"You didn't tell me that last half" he looks at me concerned
"Because I didn't want to you worry about nothing. None of this is your fault. I'm the reason you're in detention.." I sighed as I kept walking
"We can talk about this tonight. After dinner" Grayson says as he keeps following me
"Actually can we take a rain check? I just wanna go home and write for the night" I sighed
"Okay but promise me you'll text me if you need?" Grayson kisses me cheek
"Okay" I nodded
"Do you want a ride home?" Grayson smiled
"No I'm okay. I'll just ride my board." I fake smiled
"Okay see you tomorrow! Text me if you need me babe!" He kisses my cheek again
I nodded and walked home
Hannah and Ethan go back to Ethan and Grayson's apartment "where's mads?" Hannah looks at Grayson
"She walked home" Grayson replies
"What happened?" Ethan looks at Grayson
"Yeah what happened aren't y'all meant to be getting ready for dinner? It's 6pm already" Hannah adds in
"No we moved it to another night" Grayson says
"Why?" Hannah smiled
"Ask Mads. She'll have a better explanation than me" Grayson says and then walks upstairs
"Okay" Hannah walks to her and mine apartment which is just one floor up
"What happened!? Grayson came in as angry as ever!" Hannah looks at me
"It was my fault." I sighed
"What do you mean?" Hannah looks at me
I throw my bag down and sit of the sofa; "it's my fault he had detention, it's my fault I got threatened to more or less pick up my shit or I'll be kicked out of class, oh and not to mention I got abused by the teacher too" I sighed
"Hell of a first day huh?" Hannah looks at me
"Yeah you can say that again" I sighed
"I have to go. I have 3 weeks of extra homework to have done by next week." I sighed and walked to my room
Hannah walks into Ethan's apartment "well I didn't expect that"
"maybe we can go talk to her teacher tomorrow?" Ethan smiled
"I think that'll be the best idea" Hannah smiled
