Chapter 15: Friends are Nice

It's lunchtime, I was about to eat the lunch that Chrysanthemum made this morning, he seems very jolly earlier in the morning, he even sang a cute little tune.

Julian carried an arm chair, and placed it near mine, while carrying his lunch box.

"Rina, let's have some lunch."

"Sure, I'll just call Shaine, he's just buying lunch at the cafeteria." I happily replied.

"Sure."

This is the BEST!

Julian will be eating lunch with me. I'm very happy! I can't wait till Shaine arrives.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

I look at the door.

"It looks like the President is joining our little tea party."

Ah!!!

Shaine's back! And he looks like he bought.......

Two pieces of bread and a bottle of ice tea...

I wonder if that's enough for him? If not, I'll give him some of mine.

After that, Shaine took a seat to my other side, with his unwavering smile, that made Julian uneasy, but he ignored it. And then, we all started eating our lunches!

Eating quietly..

Ah....

It's quiet...

Too quiet.....

They are not talking to each other, and whenever I glanced at Shaine, he noticed it right away and his smiling....

I can't enjoy my meal at all, And what's the tension I feel between this two?...

It's already been three weeks since the elections.

I'm starting to adjust to my new class, and I've been friends with Shaine Knight since the second day of our third year, I've been eating my lunches with him a lot, but not all the time, there are times, I'm eating lunch with Theresa.

Julian have also been busy this days, since he was appointed as Class President. He's attending a lot of meetings, and doing a lot of school work. While Shaine.... is not doing so much as Vice-President, but I'm not saying his slacking off. In fact, he is a responsible person, he helps a lot with our classmates when Julian's not around.

BUT STILL....

Julian does ALMOST the work more than Shaine does....

"President! Miss Blue is calling you! RIGHT NOW!" ~classmate~

"I'll be right there," answered Julian as he just finished his lunch. And hurried outside, but before he left, he said...

"Sorry."

Then he left...

Julian is often busy these days... 

Being a Class Officer seems very hard...

Well, it can't be helped, I guess...

(Shaine's looking at Rina, obviously guessing what's on her mind, while drinking the tea he bought.)

"If you keep on staring at Julian like that, it will only show that you obviously LIKE him."
