Chapter 14: A New Beginning

*looking in the mirror and fixing my necktie *

Today is a special day!
Starting today, I'm a third-year highschool student.

"There! I'm all ready!" I said happily to myself as I'm about to leave the house.

I almost forgot...

"The book of Sifir!"

Believe me or not, I'm still not keeping the book! I'm bringing the book today, because it might be a good opportunity to be able to meet the owner of the book...
I'm not still giving up!!!

"Irina! Breakfast!" Called mom from downstairs.

"Okay!"

I went to the kitchen, mom prepared egg and toast on our plates.

"Irina, wake up your brother," told mom as I took my seat." Tell him, it's breakfast time."

"Sure."

I went upstairs again, to wake up Chrysanthemum. When I went inside his room, it's tidy yet dark... His curtains were closed, and he, himself looks devastating in his bed...

I forgot...

He hates mornings... Especially when somebody wakes him up...

"Umm... Kiku..." I nervously called him, when I came closer to him, "It's time for breakfast..."

He didn't answer.

"Kiku..."

My brother didn't reply, yet he places his head under his pillow like he was deliberately ignoring me...

"Kiku... Wake up!"

He woke up, but he looked like he's going to murder someone. He gave me a dark glare...

It looks like he's angry...
Sorry, Chrysanthemum...
But mom SCARES me more than you do...

"I'll be right down..." he said as he changed his clothes.

"S-Sure..."

We're all in the kitchen, eating breakfast. "I'm done eating, I'll be going..." said Chrysanthemum, as he left the table carrying his bag.

"Where are you going?" I curiously asked since he doesn't have work today.

"To dad." he answered.

"Be careful on your way." said mom to Chrysanthemum.

"Thanks, I'll be going! Mom, Ri-- Irina..." said Chrysanthemum as he left the house.

"Well, I should go to school, I can't be late on my first day." I said to mom, as I also left the table, and headed to the front door.

"Have a great day, Irina!"

As I entered the school gates, Theresa HUGGED me OUT OF THE BLUE. I was surprised and pleased by her actions.

"Good morning, Theresa!" I happily greeted her with a smile on my face.

"Good morning, Rina! "

We both decided to go to the announcement board together, to see our new class. On our way there someone called me from behind.

"RINA!!!"

It was Sidney, Julian and the others, including Romeo and Antonio, heading straight towards us...

Ah...That's right, starting today, Romeo and Antonio will be attending here from now on. That's great!

They're wearing their school uniforms, they looked good on it. And it seems to be that their getting a lot of attention, since they really look like they're from another country. A lot of people are staring at us...
