Being Next to You

Chapter 5: Truth

Two days have passed, I spent a little time with my friends, these last two days. Theresa and I talked about a lot of things these last two days but nothing change with Carol and Sarah.

I've finished hearing all the songs inside Julian's MP3. I copied some of his songs and put it on my phone. It was interesting, and I have enjoyed it and some, I can relate myself as well.

And today, I will be returning his MP3 and he'll be returning my book. It's a good thing nothing bad happened to his MP3. I just hope that he likes the book.

When lunch break came, I headed straight to Julian's homeroom. Then I saw Sidney on my way, waving at me while eating bread.

"Good Afternoon, Rina," he sweetly said with his bread.

"Good Afternoon. Having bread for lunch?'' I asked.

"Yeah, I was spending money too much for the last two days. So now, I'm kinda....BROKE," he embarrassedly laughed. And chuckled along with his joke.

"You're pretty when you smile," Sidney blurted with a sweet smile on his face. My face flushed, "thank you" I said, then he asked me if I were heading to his room to see Julian. I nodded quietly because he is right, and embarrassed at the same time.

"Then let's go there together," he suggested sweetly.

I replied, "okay" but we did not talk about anything on the way. It was a coincidence that me and Sidney runs over my friends. And Theresa was waving at me.

"Rina, Are you going back to the classroom? We're having our lunch there," she was always full of energy. Then, the three girls noticed and stared the guy next to me, and he gave them a warm friendly welcome.

Theresa got curious, "Who's that guy next to you?" she asked, and I whispered, "That's Julian's friend and classmate, Sidney Rose."

Theresa continues to stare and so as the others that made it obvious. Sidney noticed, and he just smiled and waved to my friends.

An automatic "bang-bang!" moment for the ladies.

"Is that so?" Replied Theresa; she was the only one who was unaffected by Sidney's flowery aura and she easily loses interest in him.

"Anyway, Are you coming with us?" Asked Theresa again.

"I can't, I need to return this MP3 back to Julian." I answered.

"It's fine, we can eat our lunches ourselves," bluntly said Carol.

And I feel a little anxious all a sudden.... again...

"Have fun with Julian," She added, walking pass me, carrying an uneasy feeling around her. Making me sad or unease.... And the others followed her after that.

'I Began To Feel Numbed And Scared.'

"RINA~!!!"

!?!

"SEE YOU LATER, RINA!!" Yelled Theresa with her face burn. And I was surprised, "stupefy" might be the right word for that action. But I felt calm and myself again.

"Thank you, Theresa," I smiled to myself, echoing those words over and over as I waved back as she went back to the classroom.

(Sidney looks concerned about Rina's relationship with her friends.)

"Let's go," said Sidney to Rina with a smile.

"Okay," I gladly replied.

We've arrived at their classroom. Yet, before Sidney entered the classroom, he dragged me inside with him.
