"You broke up!?!" Exclaimed Carol.
"That was quick. Why?" Asked Theresa.
"Because they couldn't handle the silence, obviously." answered Sarah.
"Love isn't that simple. " I blurted.
"Then, What's love?" Asked Carol.
"LOVE is BITTERSWEET like chocolates," I answered.
"WHAT? BITTERSWEET?" She laughed,
"That's the lamest things I ever heard. No wonder Julian dumped you."
"Julian will never dump me in such a way," I answered cruelly to Carol.
"What did you say?" She angrily replied. She was not expecting my rude remark, but I was offended by her insinuation to Julian, looked we're friends after all.
"I..... I don't like when you say false things about other people..," I courageously mustered.
"Is that so?" Carol responded-- she was pissed.
I didn't look away, or even blink when Carol gave me an evil glare.
"I'm tired of this foolishness. Let's go, Sarah," she suddenly blurted out and walk away.
"..Okay...," replied Sarah.
Carol and Sarah were about to leave the classroom.
"Rina, On this day forward, we're not friends anymore. We're cutting ties, we're not going to talk to you, eat with you or do anything with you anymore."
"I understand," I replied.
"Besides, we don't deserve to be your friends after all," Carol snickered.
(Carol smiled at Rina.)
"Thank you for everything. " I gladly replied to Carol with a smile.
"Don't mention it. And Theresa, you could choose if you wanna stay with Rina or with us? It's your choice," said Carol.
*Theresa looks confused.*
"But I remind you... THERE'S NO TURNING BACK. " said Carol.
"Sorry but... I want to STAY with Rina," answered Theresa.
Eh!?!?
Theresa wants to stay with me? Thinking about it wants me to do a happy dance.
"I hope you regret it. " gladly said, Carol.
"Don't worry, I won't. " replied Theresa.
* both laughed *
"Enjoy spending the last two months with Rina. I hope you won't get bored. " said Carol.
After that, Carol and Sarah left the classroom.
* relieved *
I fell on my knees. Carol is REALLY scary when she's mad...
I didn't expect that I'll do that....
Ah..... My hands start shaking and my feet can't move. I was really nervous and scared a moment ago.
"Need a hand. " warmly asked Theresa.
"Thanks... " I softly replied.
I still don't believe it ...
Theresa chose to stay with me rather than with Carol and Sarah. Confused yet secretly happy with her decision to stay with me.
I need to ask her....
"Why did you chose to stay with me?" I blurted to Theresa.
