He sat alone imprisoned by darkness. The only thing he felt was emptiness. He had no one. Left alone in this cage of cement walls, no light, no warmth, nothing at all.
Suddenly, behind him, he heard someone breathing heavily. He whirled around but couldn't see a thing in the darkness and their was no way of telling if someone was really there or if his mind had began playing tricks on him. But then he heard - what he assumed to be - a little girl weeping quietly in the corner across from him. He strived to see if someone was there but again could not tell. Then he shivered not because he was cold but because he could feel the warmth of someone else's breath on the back of his neck.
He had gone completely insane. He jumped up horrified. He had to get out of this prison. But how? There was no one around. No one to let him out of this nightmare.
He ran up to one of the walls and felt up and down it, pounding on it as hard as he could. He had to find a way out, but soon found there was none.
He was trapped.
A shrill laugh pierced through the silence. Seth froze, holding his breath as the silence submerged around him once again. But as soon as it did disapeared again. Laughs and screams drilled their way into his head. He covered his ears trying to block the noises out, but they only got louder. And out of the darkness he saw a pair of red eyes appear as three skinless fingers reached for his throat.
Seth jumped awake drenched in a cold sweat. He swung his legs over the side of his bed and rested his elbows on his knees while running his fingers through his thick hair.
He couldnt make sence of what had happened to him that last night. What that thing was. Why had it come after him? Would it come back? He asked himself the same questions over and over again. Then gave up knowing he didn't have any of the answers and went back to bed.
