"Kyle i know you can here me. You have to stop him, he's going to kill me." Seth managed but there was no force in his voice. Only weekness.
"Oh Seth, it's humorous how you think Kyle can stop me. You see, he can't. Not this time. Your brother is not going to save you. But you know what I'm going to do?" He said pleasure streaming across his face. "I'm going to stab you in the heart and as I'm pulling the knife out of your chest I'm going to free your brother and he will watch as you slip away, knowing for the rest of his life that he killed you with his own hands." A deep laugh escaped his mouth, chilling Seth all the way to the bone.
He wanted to do something. To struggle, to fight, to escale the Nightmere. But he had no energy left in him. If it weren't for Kyle's string grip on his collar he would have already colapsed to the floor.
He took in a breath. "Kyle will remember it all later...just like last he did last time."
"Oh no. He will remember it all immediately after i leave his body."
"Then he'll know he's not the one killing me. You are, yo-you monster." Seth spat trying to put as much spite and hatred into his worda as his strength would allow.
"Maybe. But YOU know he will still blame himself in the end. He will convince himself that if he really wanted to he coild have saved you, he could have stopped me. But he didn't. And he will have to live with that guilt for the reat of his life."
"No, no that's not true. Kyle its not your fault!"
The Nightmere laughed again putting as much exaggeration onto it as he could. "Goodbye Seth. " Kyle's body plunged forward, the knife piercing through Seth's skin. Pain bursting throughout Seth's chest. He gasped for air, every breath coming harder and slower.
Seth looked down at his chest, the knife was burried nearly to the hilt in his body. Blood pumping out of the wound and pouring down the front of him.
"Here comes the best part Seth." The Nightmere said an evil grin back on his face as he began pulling the knife out of Seth's chest. His grin slowly commencing into duscust, horror, confusion, and fear all at once. "No." He cried.
"Oh God no, no, no, no!" Kyle kept yelling as Seth dropped to his knees, caughed, and slumped to the floor, blood dripping from his nose and mouth.
"Seth no ple-please don't, you cant leave me."
"It's not...your fault. I...f-forgive you." Seth's last breath staggered put slowly and faded into silence. His body went limp, his eyes became glassy and all emotion, all awareness slipped away.
"No, no! Seth im sorry! Im so so sorry." Kyle muttered through sobs, spit dripping from his mouth as he clutched Seth to his chest. Minutes past, the only sound was Kyle's mournful cries. Then a shrilling laugh echoed throughout the room. Kyle lifted his head in horror. He jeard it again but this time it was more solid and came from across the room. Kyle looked in the direction to see the Nightmere standing in the doorway. His figure was a shadow in the dim light, his eyes glowing red, a vile look of amusement gleaming in them.
"Why...? Why did you kill him? Why did you kill my brother?!" Kyle screamed his voice cracking as another sob broke through his chest.
"I didn't...you did."
