So I was reading this persons introduction to Hetalia and I thought...

Wow it's kinda like mine

So here is mine

Once upon a time during the summer right before I started 6th grade, back before I watched anime, and back when I was mentally yelling at Japan for getting Fire Emblem Fates before the US and creating more spoilers for me to dodge, I had an IG (which I was banned from by my parents cause they thought I had an addiction to it and were considering literally sending me to rehab because I spent to much time on it).

And I had shit tons of internet friends. So my friends were huge Otaku's and liked to spam me with this thing called 'Hetalia' and all I could think was 'What the hell is Hetalia?'. So over time (through various Nekotalia posts) I learned Hetalia was about people countries.

And really it wasn't until recently I actually found the will to watch it.

Fast forward about half a year later, I've lost my IG privileges, I haven't been on since Febuary, and I'm in New York City. I see this collection of flags and think 'Hey, maybe I can make a Hetalia joke out of this.'

Picture of said flags

So I didn't actually get motivation to watch it until I watched this Hetalia X Soul Eater crossover video

And I didn't recognize anyone in that video first time I watched it. Yes, not even Ita chan. To be honest, I didn't even know Italy was an actual place until second grade, when my parents went to Italy for their honeymoon.

Fast forward a few days and I'm sitting in our hotel in Jersey, munching on cookies waiting for my parents to get back from dinner at a restaurant. I was on my phone and thought 'Hey, maybe I should watch some Hetalia.' And I found it on YouTube and began watching it.

I was hooked.

And then my vine became over flooded with Hetalia vines and reposts, and I have tried multiple times (and failed) to get my family to watch the show. I'm trying (and succeeding) to get my best friend Vicky to watch the show.

And you know I like a show when it replaces Attack on Titan as my favorite anime. (But my favorite show will forever be MLP)

And I have been basically hooked on this show ever since.

And let me just tell you this.

The fanfictions have taught me so much Italian and Norwegian it's not even funny.
