It All Started With A Thud

Chapter Twelve

              ~ Christian's  Point of View ~ 
               ( The day after the fight )

       " I can't believe you told me you loved me, " I chuckled, teasing her because I know she'll get annoyed.
       " Why are you bringing it up so much like you're in shock? I told you I loved you, not that I was dying, " she said.
      " I know, I just love annoying you because you're so cute when you're mad, " I smile planting a small kiss on her lips she melts into the kiss and kisses back which hasn't happened in awhile. " I'm glad to be alone with you. I get you all to myself, " I say quietly with a smirk on my face. " You have no idea what I want to do to you. "
" And you're not going to do any of that, " she smirks.
" I won't, " I said. My arm slithers around her waist and I can tell she's still scared which makes me feel like a monster. " I won't hurt you. " I expected her to say something or assure me that she's okay but I couldn't figure out what's going on in her beautiful head. I wish I knew, then maybe I could know how to fix her.
" Thank you, " she says softly. " For everything you do. " 
       " You know why I do it all right? I do it for you, " I say.
      " I love you, " she says. She buries her face into my chest and I wrap my arms around her, holding her tight.
     " I love you too, " I say kissing her forehead and engulfing her in my embrace. I feel her shoulders slouch down like she's finally letting her guard down. She lets out a big yawn and so I pick her up bridal style and carry her to my room and lay her down on my bed.
      " Stay with me please, " she says sleepily. I debate it but give in and lay down next to her. I pull a blanket over us and wrap my arms around her.
      " Sleep well, Alex, " I said as she drifted off to sleep. I watch her sleep in peace for a few minutes before dozing off myself.

       ~ time skip to two hours later ~

      My eyes open and are met with Alex's. " Aww you're awake. You were  so cute when you're asleep, " she says poking my nose causing me to smile at her adorable personality.
     " You were cute when you're sleepy. The way you curled up in my arms and the way you asked me to stay with you, it was way too adorable to say no, " I say, stroking her cheek.

Hello lovely readers! Thanks for over 100 reads, you guys are the best. I honestly didn't think I'd get that many. So I was think about making a "smut" or "lemon" chapter, whatever you call them but it won't be remembered. I was thinking I could maybe do a flash forward to when they're older. But it won't be part of this story it'll be more like a bonus chapter or an extra chapter part.
