It All Started With A Thud

Chapter Seventeen

~ Alex's Point of View ~

I grabbed Andy's hand and lead him through the crowd of people to Mac.
" Alex who is this? " she asks looking at Andy.
" Mac this is Andy, " I say.
    Mac smiles, " Hi. "
      " What was that, Christian? Yeah I'll be right there. I'll leave you two alone for now, " I say as Andy smiles as to say " thank you " I nod and walk away from the two of them.
      " You think they're getting along? " Christian asks, placing his hands on my waist and pulling me on top of him.
I smile and wrap my arms around his neck " you naughty boy, " I giggle " And yes, I think they're getting along. "
" That's great, " he says as a smile slowly creeps up on his face. " And you're absolutely right I'm a naughty boy, " he smiles as he starts tickling me.
" Stop, " I laugh. But he kept doing it and he suddenly stopped.
He looked up, " Yeah what is it? " he asked. I looked up and saw Ashley standing in front of us.
" Where's the bathroom? " she asked. I could tell she was only playing dumb so she could have an excuse to look me over.
" Over there, " he pointed as if he thought she was so dumb that she couldn't have seen it by looking around the room. She leaned close and whispered something in his ear that I couldn't make out. His expression went cold as she smiled and walked off.
He picked me up and sat me down on the couch, " You stay here. "

~ Christian's P.O.V. ~

I know Ashley so I knew that when she asked where the bathroom was she only did that so she could get a look at Alex so she can decide what horrible things to say to her.
" Who's your new whore? " she whispered. She smiled at me and gave Alex a quick dirty look before walking away.
I picked Alex up and sat her on the couch. " You stay here, " I told her as I stormed off after Ashley.
" What the hell was that? " I asked angrily.
" You heard what I said, " she says.
" Don't you ever talk about her like that. She's better than you in every way. She's smart, she's funny, she's kind, she's loving, and she's way prettier than you'll ever be, " I snapped.
" Yeah right, we all know you don't really love her you just wanna get in her pants but she won't let you because she's too sweet and innocent, " she sneers.
" I do love her for real and I respect the fact that she doesn't spread her legs to every boy she lays eyes on, " I said. " Now you stay away from her, don't look at her, don't touch her, and don't you ever talk about her like that again. She doesn't deserve that. "
" What happened to you? This isn't you. You've never loved anyone, " she says. " I want the old you back. " Her arms slither around my neck.
" You're right I haven't loved anyone before but she has showed me nothing but kindness and love and I ever since I first looked into those big brown eyes I knew that feeling that I felt was love, " I said.
" Your expression softens when you talk about her. She watching you know. She thinks you're talking to me like that. "
I look over at the couch and saw the look in her eyes, she got up walked out the front door. " Now look what you've done. " I push Ashley away and hurry off to find Alex.
