((WARNING! ⚠ NYSM2 SPOILERS!))

Barely even a month had passed since the show in London went down, the Horsemen had settled into the Eye's headquarters and already are having some...issues.

And by issues they mean Danny.

He's been distant ever since the show on New Year's Eve. He made sure to get the room furthest from the others when they all moved into the lair, he's been eating after everyone else had already sit down together to eat, and he keeps to himself in the library provided in their new home. His excuse was that there was so many books to read, so little time to catch up on everything, that he's cut out time to talk to people.

Logan gets bored a lot, so she goes to the library to find a book to read. She hasn't been much of a bookworm since the 3rd grade, but she thought why not start up again? She noticed Danny sitting at the window seat, a pillow propped behind him while he flipped a page upon her entering the room. He barely flinched, he didn't even look up at her. It's like he didn't even know she was there! Meanwhile, Logan found a book, sat down on the other side of the room, and instead of reading, watched Danny immensely. She noticed how he never flipped a page after she entered, instead deciding to look out the window while still pretending to read.

She reports this to the rest of the Horsemen, and they hatch a plan to intervene with Daniel. They all knew that he would go to the kitchen to find something to eat once he knew that everyone else had finished eating, and decide to use that to their advantage. Jack goes into the library the next day, telling an unresponsive Danny that dinner was ready, just like he does any other normal day. Then, everyone waited an hour in the kitchen, not even eating, just waiting.

As if on cue, Danny comes in, thinking everyone had finished dinner by now, and barely had time to recover from the shock of seeing everyone in the kitchen, staring at him. He quickly builds up that ego up again and ignores the stares as he makes it to the fridge.

"How was dinner?" He asked gruffly.

"We didn't have it yet," Jack explains carefully while leaning against the counter, his eyes never left Daniel's face, "We were waiting for you."

He doesn't get a response from that, but notes the tightening of Danny's jaw as he reaches for the jug of milk. The illusionist doesn't grab any food this time, as he was dying to get out of there. He just takes his glass of milk and starts to leave the kitchen.

Most would've expected to have Merritt, Dylan, or even Logan to have snapped then and there. But, no, it was JACK. And Lula had to bite her cheek from screaming at the sudden outburst,

"DO YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ALL OF US?!"

Danny's form froze from leaving the room, he back faced everyone as muscles tensed underneath the fabric of his shirt. He turns his head slightly towards Jack's direction, as did everyone else since they were equally shocked about his rage.

"Pardon?" He tries brushing it off with the subtle word.

"Ever since you joined the Eye you just what, suddenly believed you were too good for us?" Jack growled in reply.

"I never said that."

"Yeah? Then why the hell have you been avoiding all of us?!" When he didn't get a response, Jack flung a card in Danny's direction, earning a nick to the other's ear in the process, "Say something, dammit!"

"Jack..." Merritt warns while Dylan squeezes the younger sleight's shoulder to keep him back from doing anything stupid.

Logan stood up from her spot on the counter then walked to Danny, "Look, Daniel. We're just worried about you because you haven't been talking to us...or smiling," she reaches for his hand, "Or being yourself in general-!"
