"Eleanor, I know you would hate spending your summer here but-"

"Just.. it's fine, Severus. If you wouldn't get a piece from him, I'll do it. Besides, this.. this seems like a spectacular place." Eleanor said sarcastically. Lucius Malfoy had "kindly" asked Eleanor over at their manor during the summer break. He claims it's a good thing to intermingle with the purebloods.

Severus and Eleanor was currently standing outside the manor. He was slightly reluctant to knock on the door, but did it anyway. He knocked and a voice of a woman replied from behind the door. "Get the door Dobby." Eleanor heard. The door opens and she saw it was a house elf who opened the door and Narcissa Malfoy stood behind him to welcome the guests. Their house was enormous, the ceilings so high she wondered if it looked as big from the outside. But it seemed a little moody here, much like the Prince manor.

"It's good to have you here, Eleanor. And Severus, it's been a while." She smiled, graciously inviting them into the living room. The adults exchanged their greetings and then shortly after, Lucius and Draco came down from the stairs together.

Eleanor took a casual glance at Draco. Just over a span of two months, he'd grown taller, his features sharp and regal, and the same gel-up hair. She noted that his family had a real preference for wearing black. "Ah, Ms. Prince. I see you've grown into quite a lady yourself." Lucius smirked, not the unpleasant type. He nudged Draco forward and he stuttered on his greetings. Eleanor thanked him and gave a fake smile and returned her attention back to Snape.

He passed Eleanor's small luggage to Narcissa and she gestured for Dobby to take them. "Well then, Narcissa, I'll leave her to you. As promised, I will come back again in two days to fetch her home." She gave her assurance and then she send Snape off. Eleanor waved goodbye to him, wishing she could go home instead.

Someone tapped lightly on her shoulders and she turned and came face to face to Draco's mother. "Maybe you want to join the rest at the garden?" She coaxed. Eleanor frowned slightly. The rest...?

"Draco darling would you show her the way please." Draco nodded meekly and took Eleanor's hands in his, pulling her towards the garden. Once they were out of the scrutinizing staring of his parents, she flung her hands away as she got a little uncomfortable from the sudden intimacy. For a little girl, it was still something embarrassing, especially when she hadn't seen him for a while.

Draco's heart did a flip when he noticed the slight tone of redness on her cheeks, and then he sheepishly scratched his head, not knowing what to say. "Who does 'the rest' refer to anyway?" Eleanor asked to break the awkward silence. He led the way into a beautiful garden and Eleanor did not expect to find Pansy, Astoria, Crabbe and Goyle here.

What is this, some Slytherin party? Eleanor thought. But she was half correct, since they were actually considered Draco's playmates. And whose parents are close to the Malfoy family.

"Crabbe, Goyle, move aside! Don't you see we have guests!" Draco ordered angrily, annoyed that his two fat friends didn't give his Eleanor proper respect. Being as perfect as she was, smart, beautiful and a pureblood, she was way higher in rank than his two worthless underlings.

At Draco's command, Crabbe and Goyle scurried away to make space for Draco and Eleanor. Knowing their leader well, the two understood how important the girl is to Draco from that simple gesture, hence they made sure to remember not to get in her bad books.

"That's not necessary. I'll go sit over there." Eleanor moved to a quiet corner with a set of swing, a book in hand. She'd just spend the rest of her time in solitary before Snape comes back. She sat down, the faint smell of purple lilies filled her nose and she dove right in to her muggle story book about Sherlock.

Once Draco saw how relaxed she was in her own company, he regretfully turned his attention back to the group. "Hmph! Acting like she's so special and different from us." Pansy rolled her eyes. "Hey Draco~ Let's go flying shall we??" Pansy shook his arms with her unnatural nasal voice which in her opinion sounds cute. Draco nodded his head, although his attention was entirely on Eleanor.

Pansy glared distastefully at who he was staring at, then quickly pulled Draco away to get their broomsticks. She told the rest to stay and not disturb her and Draco, and she skipped away with her hands entangled in his.

Draco was getting annoyed by Pansy, but with second thoughts he needed the extra practice since he was to become the new seeker for Slytherin. Eleanor watched with the corner of her eyes of how close Pansy was sticking to Draco. An unsettling feeling grew like a seed in her heart, and she didn't liked it.

"Phew that was so much fun! Right, Draco??" Pansy asked, always energetic when she's around Draco. Ignoring her, Draco darted to Eleanor's side, apologetic that he left her alone for so long.

Eleanor stood up before he got to her and rushed off, not willing to confront him. She was paying attention to her pocket watch, and they had been gone for two whole hours. The underlying anger was messing her mind up and Draco's presence only aggravated it. She'd rather go into the kitchen to help Mrs Malfoy prepare dinner than to spend one second with him.

"Eleanor..! I'm sorry I shouldn't have left you alone.." Draco caught her arms in time, guilt coursing through his every vein. "I don't care." She pulled her hands away and walked quickly into the manor. Unexpectedly, she knocked into their house elf Dobby.

"Ohh!!" He slipped and fell due to the impact and the flower vase shattered, littering the floor. "Oh I'm so sorry Ms Prince I'll clean up right away!" Dobby apologized profusely and looked like he would prefer a cruciatus curse than failing at his duties. "No it's my fault. I'm sorry." Eleanor took her wand out and repaired the case before he could do it.

"No no Ms Prince Dobby don't deserve your apologies! But thank you.. You're too kind." He said timidly, then picked up the vase which was as big as his tiny body and walked with extreme difficulty to the dining table.

"Here, I'll carry this." Eleanor snatched the vase from him and place it on the table. Since she was much taller than Dobby it was a piece of cake. Dobby thanked her again, and was very grateful to this kind lady. He wasn't shown much love or gratitude working for the Malfoys and everyday was full of work or threats from his master. He began tearing up thinking of his misfortunate life as a house elf.

Eleanor gazed at him sadly, his condition looked so much worse than Baxter. Well judging from Lucius and Draco, it's no surprise how Dobby was treated in this household. So for the remaining evening she helped Dobby with some of his chores and then Mrs Malfoy called her into the kitchen to help with the desserts. She had nothing against her, in fact, she was rather nice considering she was the wife of Lucius.

She decorated the chocolate mousse with her and dinner was basically ready. Dobby went to the garden to call the rest in at Lucius's command. Dinner was uneventful as ever, and Eleanor was forced to sit opposite Draco. After much uncomfortable staring from him and Lucius's ending speech to remain good friends as fellow slytherins, dinner was finally over.

After the others went home, Severus came last to pick her up as he said he would, and they departed the manor shortly. Draco was already missing her when she disapparated with Snape. He wondered if summer would end quickly now, so he can see her again in Hogwarts.
