AN: At the end of the chapter there's a bit of pg13 action so if you're uncomfortable reading it, just skip that scene! Okay enjoy!
I sat alone in my new apartment, that I shared with Daniel, catching up on my reading. Since we 'disappeared' a week ago, we've been keeping a low profile, only ever going out if we needed groceries. That's where Danny was right now, getting groceries. Since joining The Eye, knowing they were watching us, and having the FBI looking for us, has made him a little paranoid. He's even hesitant to leave me alone for to long, even if I convince him I'm fine. I turned the page and began reading just as there was a knock on the door. Nervously I got up and tiptoed to the front door. Through the peep hole, I could see it was Dylan. I opened the door and he walked right in.
"Hey."
"Hi, what a surprise. Please come in." I replied jokingly and sat back down on the couch.
"Daniel told me to stop by and check on you. Any idea why?" Dylan asked knowingly. I let out a puff of breath and turned to look at him.
"He's paranoid Dylan. He's worried something is going to happen, like the FBI finding us."
"You all know I'm covering that." He argued.
"Yeah we all know, but Danny isn't really to keen on the double life you're living. He thinks someone will figure it all out or something." The silence in the room lasted too long making me look and Dylan. "No one knows anything right?" Again silence. "Dylan."
"Someone might think something's up." He said slowly. "But I'm handling it alright?"
"Yeah, I trust you, so do the others, Danny does too, he just has a hard time with things that don't go his way."
"Oh trust me I know." Dylan laughed along with me. Another comfortable silence took over as I worked up the courage to ask him a question that's been at the back of my mind.
"About the tarot cards you first gave us. I looked into them, and everyone got a title that is an real tarot card but when I looked 'The saviour' up I got no results. Everyone's cards is the perfect description of them and the roles they played. I want to know mine." I said to the only person who could explain to me what I wanted to know.
"Look Phoebe, you're right that 'The Saviour' isn't a real tarot card, I had it made just for you. The others' got tarot cards that represented their role, but so did you. The only difference is that the others are all symbolic, while yours is literal. "
"What do you me-"
"Let me finish. I didn't want to tell you so soon but since your asking, I'll tell you but you have to keep it from the others. You are literally going to be a saviour. Daniel's saviour to be exact. The Eye's next plan for The Horsemen, will only take place in over a year from now. We both know Daniel, and for him not to have a say, will drive him crazy. Not performing will drive him crazy. He'll try to do things he wouldn't usually do and you have to stop him from doing it. You have to save him from making the biggest mistake of his life." Dylan explained slowly, letting me process the new information.
"You know that this leaved me with so many more questions right?" He smiled at me trying not to laugh.
"Trust me, I know. But there'll be a time for you to ask me them. For now just be patient and enjoy your time with Daniel."
"What about Alma Dray?" I asked making Dylan give me a questioning look. "Oh come on! It doesn't take a mentalist to know that you liked her!" I exclaimed hoping for an answer. He sighed and sat back down.
"When you guys finished your last show, I kissed her and then we walked away." I gasped at what Dylan said.
"You let her walk away just like that! No explanation or anything? Dylan!"
