I let my eyes flutter open but closed them immediately when then light hit them. Reaching over to wrap my arms around Danny left me disappointed when I didn't feel him beside me. I opened my eyes again and was met with empty white sheets and a piece of paper.

Morning beautiful,
Sorry I'm not there to wake up with you, but what I have in store will definitely make up for it.
Henley should be over soon. Love you,
Daniel

I smiled at his message and decided to finally get up. My stomach grumbled so I went to the kitchen to make a piece of toast with peanut butter. As I waited for the toast to pop, I looked at the stove and the time read 12:37, I slept in late. When it was ready I turned to the living and nearly jumped out of my skin. The plate and the toast that was on it fell to the floor.

"Henley what the fück." I said to the red head who was sitting on my couch.

"Well hello to you too!" She said cheerfully, getting up from the couch.

"How'd you even get in?"

"I'm magic." She replied with jazz hands and a smirk.

"So am I and I'm picturing that Danny gave you the key?" Her smirk dropped and she nodded her head.

"Anyways, I'm here to get you ready soon for the big night."

"I don't even know what we're doing or where we're going. How am I supposed to know what to wear?"

"Silly girl! What do you think Danny was doing yesterday? He and I went to get you an outfit. It's in the closet go look." I looked at her in amazement. Danny really planned the whole thing. I went back to the bedroom and into our "His and Her" closet. There was nothing new on my side, but in Danny's wardrobe was a grey garment bag that wasn't usually there. I unzipped the back to reveal a gorgeous red cocktail dress. The top half was made of an elegant red lace and the bottom flared out. I looked for a price tag but the sneaky bastard ripped off the price tag. On the floor under the dress were a pair of red lace heels that matched the dress perfectly.

"You'd be surprised to know that Danny actually picked it all out." Henley interrupted my thoughts.

"Wow." Was all I could say.

"I know I was shocked! It'll look even better on you though." She took the dress from the rack and started walking out of the room. "Bring the shoes!" She called.

After a few hours of Henley playing around with different makeup, she found a style she liked on me.

"Take a look." I did as I was told and took the hand held mirror from Henley. My eye lips were painted with a gorgeous, slight smokey eye in natural brown colours and my lashes were extenuated with black mascara. My lips were coated in a deep red lipstick and my cheeks had a hint of blush on them.

"I know! I'm great!" Henley boasted.

"You really are." I laughed and stood up.

"Hey! Where you going? We have to do your hair!" She plugged in the curling iron once I sat back down and she gathered my new brown locks in her hands.

"Nothing crazy Henley." I warned her, knowing I could end up with a swan on my head.

"You ruin the fun." She pouted and began to curl my hair. Which took an hour by the way. I sat patiently just imagining what tonight had in store. Central Park Zoo? A trip to the Statue of Liberty? I must have zoned out for at least fifteen minutes when Henley started snapping her fingers.

"Earth to Phoebe?"

"Huh?"

"I said I'm done, what do you think?" I looked into the mirror and gaped at the pretty hairstyle. It was simple but pretty. My hair was in loose curls with a braided crown going around my head.
