"Daniel Atlas!"

"Phoebe Noelle!"

"You could have been shot!"

"You're the one who could have been shot! Remember, she didn't shoot at me, she did shoot at you!" Atlas yelled at me as we continued to run from the Interpol agent.

"How could you miss that shot! She was right there!" A man yelled from behind us, agent Rhodes? Most likely, but I didn't have time to really think about it as Danny grabbed me. Okay so I'm actually glad it's Dray's first time out of the office, she can't aim a gun at all.

"Yeah but only because you weren't getting off the wall Danny!" I argued. We were back on a main road, still filled with Mardi Gras partygoers, when we saw Jack dressed as a police officer.

"Jack!" I yelled and embraced him in a quick hug. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into him tightly. "Please stay safe." I said and ran in the opposite direction of him. As I looked behind me, I saw agent Rhodes on top of a cop car looking all around and at something in his hand. Before he had time to see us, Danny pulled us around a corner to a less busy street and into a car.

"Well, you guys didn't get caught. Great job." Merritt said laughing as we drove off.

"Jack's meeting us at the train station." Henley said from the front seat. "I think he enjoys playing police officer." She said causing me to laugh. I turned to Daniel and he didn't look to happy.

"Wait we're taking the train?" I asked not understanding their logic.

"Uh, yeah."

"It takes about a day if you take the train, if we drive it, it'll only be 18 hours." It was quiet as they thought about our new option, then Merritt spoke up.

"Road trip it is then. We can sing songs and make friendship bracelets, too." He announced, somewhat sarcastically. He started saying some joke or something but my concentration was taking by Danny.

"When we're alone, we need to talk." Daniel whispered and turned away, as if it wasn't open for discussion.

"But I'm tired." I replied to get under his skin. He huffed but didn't turn to me.

"It'll be quick."

When we finally stopped, we were at the train station, waiting for Jack. Like Danny said, when we were alone we had to talk, so he made it his mission to get some privacy. He sent Henley and Merritt to the vending machine, and we stayed leaning against the car.

"You could have been seriously hurt." He grumbled harshly.

"Is this what we need to talk about? Dude, it happened, it's over."

"Don't! Don't do that!" Danny growled.

"Do what?"

"Dismiss this topic so easily. You could have been hurt, killed for all we know."

"J. Daniel Atlas. Get it through the thick skull of yours, nothing happened, I'm fine."

"But you were willing to risk it!"

"So what!"
