"Hello ladies and gentlemen! Who's ready to witness some real magic!" I shouted to the people walking down the street. Children with big eyes ran over, accompanied by their parents, and more people followed. "Woah! Great crowd! For the first trick, I need a volunteer!" I looked at everyone around me and my eyes landed on a little boy with fiery red hair. "How about you? The little guy with the superman shirt?" A big smile made its way onto his face and he walked to me. I grabbed his hand and knelt down. "Hey there, what's your name?"
"I'm Connor." He said quietly.
"Well Connor, I'm Phoebe." Connor looked at me with the most adorable brown eyes and whispered, "I believe in magic!" I laughed and nodded.
"That's good! That's the reason I need your help. Take a card, show it to everyone except me, then put it back." I turned away and his little hands grabbed a card. Connor showed everyone and put the card back. "Okay are you ready? This trick is called the Hula-hoop!" I spun the deck around my torso and placed the cards across the table. One of them was upside down and I picked it up. "Connor is this your card?" His eyes shone with excitement and nodded his head vigorously.
"Yes it is!" He yelled. The audience started clapping and Connor gave me a hug. "Thanks for choosing me!"
"Just remember to always believe, little buddy." I said and he walked back to his mom.
I did some more tricks, card throwing, lighting money on fire and some other tricks people believe happen because of 'magic'. I finished an hour later and started packing up my stuff. As I was walking down the street, I reached into my sweater pocket for my earphones but felt cardboard instead. I took the cardboard out and realized it was a card. Not one of mine. This one was bigger and had an intricate drawing of an angel floating above a battle field. Under the image had the words 'The Saviour'. I flipped the card over and there was more writing- and a drawing of an eye.

No way. This couldn't be an invitation from The Eye! Any magician could tell you about the eye. A mythical society that could make or break a magician, if you get in, you are guaranteed to make it big. If not, then no one will know who you are. Have you heard of Bart Loq? Exactly. I always thought it was just a myth passed down by magicians but if this is an invitation from the eye and not a sick joke, then it's real. I got to my apartment and booked a flight to New York right away. I went to my closet and packed enough clothes for three weeks, who knows how long I'll be there. The earliest flight was 8:30 tomorrow morning which means getting to the airport at 7:30 and waking up at 6:30, just great. After watching a bit of tv, I decided to go to bed in order to be energized for my big adventure tomorrow.

I stepped out of the taxi and onto the side walk of New York. In front of me was an old building that looked like it would crumble any minute. I double checked the address, yup, 45 East Evan street. I entered the building and got away from the nippy wind. Looking up there were many stairs and no elevator. Gee, what a great day to wear my thigh high boots. I checked my phone once and then started the long hike up.

As I neared the top, I heard voices. Two male and one female. It sounded like one of the men were arguing with the woman. I took the last step and all the heads turned to me.
"Um, hi? Did you guys get a card too?" I asked. Taking in the new faces, there was a woman two or three years older than me with red hair. A man in his forties wearing a fedora and lastly a man with brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes, whom might be three years older than me.
