Ethan's PoV

It's been a month. Alex has finally gained enough strength to move and even walk. He limps but it's something. His throat is better allowing him to speak normally again.

The doctors put him on meds for the pain he has still and for his nightmares and they are working. He's been sleeping through the whole night and no flashbacks either.

He was getting changed because we were told he could go home as long as we both took are meds as I still have pain meds for my stomach.

But I can't wait till he gets home. I have a surprise for him. Bigger than a dog which sadly we had to sell Jake as all that's been happening we didn't have time but now that it's back to normal he's going to be so happy.

A- I'm ready

E- ok baby. Can't wait till we get home

A- why?

E- you'll see

A- oooo it's a surprise

E-mhm

He got a smile on his face as he limped towards me

I helped him to my car as we drove home which is now s new apartment because I do t want to be in that old place no more.

We got home and I helped inside. We were in the bottom floor for Alex.

We got him and I say him in the couch as I grabbed papers of the counter

A-what's that

E- here read them

I handed him the papers and he began to read them and smile

A- were. We are adopting a. WERE ADOPTING A KID

he yelled in excitement

I laughed at his childish ways.

E- yep

He sequeled in excitement

A- when do we get them

E- well it's to late now. It's already 11 pm bit how bout tomorrow noon?

A- yes yes YES

he ran off ok hobbled of quickly to our room which would be next to our kids room.

When I finally got in there he was in pjs and in bed already passed out so o did the same

I guess I slept late because I ended up with an Alex jumping on me that it's eleven and we need to go now

I got up laughing at him and got dressed.

We headed to the car with are approval papers and headed to the adoption place.

We got there and was created with a women who didn't seem nice but did if that makes sense

Lady- why hello. How may I help you two

I handed her the papers and she motioned us in and headed to a set of stairs yelling for everyone to get down stairs now. Ten girls came down all happy and chipper. 2 boys walked down excited. And one boy didn't look to thrilled. I think he doesn't know he'll be adopted ever. Hm

She had them line up in a straight line

I whispered to Alex telling him about the boy. He nodded.

E- him down there. Id like to meet him please.

Lady- oh you don't want that one trust me

E- I said I want to meet him now lead me somewhere I can speak with him.
