Nightmares

Ethan's PoV

It's been a month and they finally said Alex could go home. I've been going back and forth between the hospital and home
1- to take care of Jake who's getting so big
2- I have set up the home all nice and I have his new engagement ring since that jackass broke his

He could finally eat more than pudding or jello now. He could eat more hard stuff like pizza or burgers. I have to cut it down to smaller bites but still.

A- I'm ready

He's still having trouble speaking so it was more of a whisper

E- lets go then

I got up walking to his bed and helped him walk. He's still way to weak to do things on his own so I need to help him.

We were about to walk out but Alex froze in his steps after someone yelled

Stranger- you gay ass fagots

Tears started to role down Alex's face

Stranger- oh and a weakling

That's when he broke and collapsed onto the floor. I know why to. James called him that every time he cried after being hit

E- you asshole. You don't know what he's been through!

Stranger- doesn't matter

E- really you wanna be close to death after some man beat you!!!

The stranger shut up as I picked Alex up carrying him to the car.

People don't understand anything these days.

E- it's ik baby ignore everything that asshole said

He giggles a little and looked st me

A- thank you

E- of corse.

I put him in the car and drive us home.

We got to the house and I helped Alex out of the car and to the door.

He opened the door and he was in a happy state.

There was a banner that said welcome home babe with rose petals scattered around and a nice dinner at the table.

A- you did this for me

E- of corse. Anything for my love

I gave him a peck in the lips as Jake came running in and Alex got happy.

I sat him at the table. He looked at the food. It took a while but I cut all his stuff in small heart shaped peices.

He bad happy tears forming in his eyes

E-  I love you so much baby

A- I love you to

After dinner. I helped him into pjs. Then sat him on the couch to watch movies. I got us drinks and put in the forest.

( not sure if it's out on dvd for shore but I saw it in theatres and hated it).

There were a few scary parts that made Alex jump and hold me as tight as he could.  Still not very tight but it was cute. Scary movies don't phase me

I got up and grabbed s box

I walked in front of Alex and got in one knee opening the box

E- baby I know I've already proposed but I also no an asshole who's name we shall not mention has broken your engagement ring so I as again if you will marry me

He was crying happy tears

A- of course again

We both laughed as I put the ring on his finger and hugged him.

A- I'm tired.

I helped him up and carried him to the room laying him on the bed. I layed next to him wrapping my arms lightly around him.  He's still very sore.

Alex PoV

Dream

It was dark. Then a light turned on. A man walked in with a knife and whip

It was James

J- I'm going to make your last few days miserable

He laughed evilly as his eyes turned red running towards. Me.

He started beating me over and over again.

Then he whipped me harder and harder. Making me bleed scream and cry

J- you weakling

He hissed in s deep voice.

I cried for help but no one came

J- do t bother no one can here you

He laughed again

Had took the knife and slid it across my skin multiple times.

J- time to bring your life to an end

He laughed one more time as he raised the knife above my heart and brought it down with all the force he had

End dream

Ethan's PoV

It was about 3 in the morning and Alex was shaking next to me. I thought it was s twitch so I left it

But he continued.

He started screaming for help but he was still asleep.

I was getting worried. I started to shake him telling him to wake up.  He screamed one last time before his eyes pried themselves open and he started at me.

He was sweating and shaking.

I sat him up in bed wrapping my arms around him telling him he was ok as he shook and cried in my arms

E- it's ok baby it was just a dream. Your safe

We sat there for s while until he finally calmed down. He was still shaking and teary but not as violently as earlier. It was almost five I was tired but he was wide awake

He couldn't fall back to sleep. What ever the dream was it had to be horrible for him to have woken up like that.

I stayed up with him cause he was scared

A- y y you can go tttto sleep baby

E- no what ever that dream was it terrified you. I'm going to stay up with you.

A- no I'm tired tttto. Can we ggggo to sleep. But don't let go of me!

E- I won't baby. I promise.

We both layed down as he fell asleep. I had him wrapped in my arms as I stiffed off into a dreamless sleep.
