Chapter 11

Chapter 11-

Andrew's P.O.V.

I wake up and my head is pounding from the massive hangover I have. I don't remember anything from last night except getting drunk and passing out on my bed. I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamt that I found Tess and we kissed, but it was so real. I'm still unsure if it was really a dream, but I'm almost positive it was. I mean, what are the chances of us going to the same college. What are the chances of her kissing me? Yes. I had to be a dream.

It's only Sunday, so I decide to find that guy named Jonah and see what he is doing today. Since he is my only friend here, I might as well hang out with him. I'm sure I can befriend some of his friends as well. I run downstairs, still in my pajamas, and into the kitchen for some breakfast. I settle with Coco Puffs cereal, not that there is much variety anyway. I make a mental note to go shopping for good food later. As I pour the milk into my bowl, the chocolate cereal turns my milk brown. I have never seen milk do this for myself, although I see it on commercials all the time, because my mother never let me eat sugary cereal as a child. I was very..., limited as a child because my mother was extremely strict. As I got older, I gained some freedom but she always was weary about certain things.

"Morning. Do you have a hangover? I can't be the only one who has one." Jonah interrupts my thoughts and sits beside me with a piece of toast and a banana. I laugh at him and nod yes. "I'm going to the pharmacy to get some Advil or something, I'll be back. Oh, me and some friends are going to the beach later. Wanna join us?" He asks with hope in his voice. It seems he wants it be friends with me just as badly as I want to be friends with him.

"Yeah sounds fun." I reply and he nods his head and walks out the door.

About fifteen minuets pass before Jonah busts through the door with a 'Walgreens' bag in his hand. He gets us both some some water and gives us each two tablets. We sit in the living room and find something decent to watch.

Jonah is actually pretty cool. I learn that he is from Houston, Texas and he has twin sisters, Brittany and Jessica, who are in 10th grade. He loves basketball and soccer which are two of my favorite sports as well. I tell him about my family and such. We pretty much spent an hour just talking until Jonah said it was time to go.

We pull right onto the sand in Jonah's black range rover and spot his friends.

"This is Susan, Jeff, Alexandra, Sam and Hayley." Jonah says as he points to each one.

"Hi, I'm Andrew." I say and they all chorus 'hello'.

For the rest of the afternoon, we sat on the beach, swam, and played a little volleyball before Sam suggested we go for some dinner. I'm starving now so food sound really good.

"We should go to the in-n-out down the street. They have amazing burgers there!" Alexandra says and everyone nods their heads in agreement. I have never had a burger before because my mother says they are too greasy and fat. There is no way I'm telling them that, because they would think I'm seriously messed up and would drop me off at home or something. So, I keep my mouth shut and nod my head as well. We all pile into the twos cars provided. Me, Jonah, and Hayley ride in Jonah's car while the other four ride in Susan's car.

We pull into the parking lot and jump out of the car. Once everyone is ready, we make our way into the small diner. A waiter gets a table and orders our drinks. I get a chocolate milkshake, as does Hayley. Hayley is really funny and pretty. But not Tess. Damn it, why do I always compare girls to Tess? I'm never going to move on if I keep doing this.

"Sir? Are you ready to order?" The waiter asks as Jonah waves his hand in front of my hand and everyone laughs. I blush and look at the waiter.

"Yeah, um a burger and fries please." I smile at him and he writes it on his notepad and walks away. After fifteen minuets of waiting, the waiter comes out with our orders, all of them being the same accept one. Susan got a personal pizza. As I took my first bite the taste gave my mouth a sensation I can't describe and I let out a long 'mmm'. Everyone looks at me and I blush.

"You ok there buddy?" Jonah asks

"Yeah, it's just so good I guess." I say hoping it didn't sound too weird.

"You act like you have never had a burger before." Jeff says as he takes a sip of his water.

"Well... I haven't." I say embarrassingly and rub the back if my neck. Everyone stares with their mouthed open.

"Well be glad you had your first one here!" Hayley says breaking the stares, causing everyone to nod in agreement. That wasn't as bad as I thought. I look at Hayley and mouth 'thanks' and she giggles.

By the time we are finished, my stomach is stuffed full of food. We get our checks and leave tips for the waiter. When we are outside, everyone is saying bye.

"It was nice meeting you. Hey, we should hang out sometime. Here's my number. Call me?" Hayley says after hugging me.

"Yeah, will do. See you around." I say to her. I hope she isn't interested in me because I'm in love with one girl and engaged to another, I don't need any more girls to deal with. Jonah takes us back to the fraternity house and we say goodnight. Once in my room, I take a shower and put pajamas on. I set my alarm for 7:00 since my first class tomorrow starts at 8:00, and crawl into bed. I think I'm a little sunburned from earlier on my back so I lay only stomach and quickly fall asleep.
