Chapter 25-
Andrew's P.O.V.
I wake up and the memory of last night flashes through my brain. I smile to myself and look down at Tess who is laying on my chest, still sleeping. My phone starts to ring, waking Tess up and I groan. I look at the caller ID and see that it is River. I sit up and accept the call.
"Hello?" I say sleepily.
"Andrew! I heard you are in England? So am I! Let's hang out today." He exclaims through the phone and I look at the clock. It reads 1:36 p.m.
"Yeah mate. I will text you when I get ready, I will bring my girlfriend." I say and he says that will be fine. I hang up and look down at Tess.
"Last night was amazing." I say and kiss her forehead.
"Yeah.. Who was that?" She rubs her eyes and looks at me.
"River. He wants to hang out, you cool with that?" I ask and she nods. I climb out of bed and slide a pair of boxers on.
After we are dressed, we head to the kitchen to find my grandmother and my aunt.
"Aunt Rachel!" I exclaim when I see her sitting at the table.
"Andrew! Look at you! You have grown so tall and handsome. And who is this lovely young lady?" She looks behind me to see a blushing Tessanie.
"This is my girlfriend, Tessanie. Tess, this is my aunt, Rachel." I introduce the and they hug each other. "We are going to head out for a little bit."
"Be back for supper! I am making stew!" My grandmother calls as we walk out if the house. I send River a text, telling him that we will meet him at the old school house in ten minuets.
I flag down a taxi and we hop in.
"Where to?" The driver asks kindly.
"The old school house on Bakers Street." I say and she nods her head. I wrap my arm around Tess and she snuggles close to me.
The cab drops us off and I pay her the money due.
"Andrew! Good to see you. Is this your girlfriend?" River greets me with a hug.
"Yes. This is Tessanie. Tessanie this is River, my best mate." I introduce them and they shake hands.
"I have heard lots about you. Glad to finally meet you." River says with a smile.
"You too." Tess replies. I take her hand in mine and lead her inside. "What is this place?" Tess asks when we are all inside the old building.
"This is where me and Andrew went to school as little boys. It shut down when we were in sixth grade. The city never really did anything with it, so it just sits here, rotting." River's voice echoes through the building. I think I am going to have a little fun with this. I wink at River and stand beside him.
"You know... I hear the place is haunted. The principal died here when we were in third grade and legend says that her ghost still walks these hallways." I say in a hushed voice. Tessanie's face goes pale.
"That is just a myth. Ghosts aren't real." Her voice is shaky and I can tell she is scared.
"I don't know about that. I have seen her. Once I was in here with some friends goofing around and I suppose she didn't like it because she came up behind me," as River is telling his story, I inch my way behind Tess "and all my friends stopped and stared behind me. When I turned around, there she was. Staring at me dead in the eye. She reached her arms out to me and..." Before he can finish, I grab Tess's sides and she screams bloody murder. Me and River burst out laughing and Tess stands there with her arms crossed and her cheeks are bright red.
"That wasn't funny! You scared the shit out of me! Asshole." She turns to walk out but I grab her arm, pulling her back to face me.
"I'm sorry, love. We were just having some fun." I say and she looks at the ground.
"So, there is no ghost?" She asks innocently.
"No, love. There is no ghost. And our principal never died, in fact I think she is still alive today. Very old, but still breathing." I kiss her cheek and she gives me a small smile.
"How about a game of hide and seek? We used to love that game." River suggests and I look at Tess. She nods her head and smiles. Suddenly, there is a noise coming from the lunch room.
"Andrew... If this is another trick then it's not funny." Tess grabs onto my arm and hides behind me.
"Hey it's not me." River puts his hands up.
"It's probably just a rat or something. They are everywhere. Don't worry about it." I brush it off and Tess loosens her grip on me.
"I will count first!" River volunteers and I run off with Tess to find a hiding spot. "One... Two... Three..."
We find a spot underneath one of the teachers desks and wait for River to find us. I hear his footsteps come in and he spots us.
"That was too easy! Andrew you count now. Me and Tessanie will find better spots." He teases and walks out of the room, followed by Tess. "One... Two... Three... Four..." I start to count and I close my eyes. "Twenty eight... Twenty nine... Thirty! Here I come!" I yell and walk out of the classroom. I turn left down the hall way, poking my head in every classroom. That's when I remember River's favorite place to hide. The library.
I turn around and take a short cut through the lunchroom. When I am almost to the library doors, I hear a blood curdling scream. That scream belongs to Tessanie
