Chapter 30-

Tessanie's P.O.V.

I wake up and look over at a still sleeping Andrew. His hair is sticking up all over the place and his arms are wrapped around my waist. My stomach grumbles and I know I have to get some food in my system. The last time I ate was half of my sandwich yesterday with Leah.

I should be angry with Andrew. I should have left him at the frat house. He beat up some random guy for practically no reason. He needs to understand that I am a big girl and I can deal with my own problems. As much as I shouldn't be here, I know I couldn't have left him. I can't imagine what he is going through. With River passing...his fathers sudden arrival... Possible twin brother... My life in danger... One guy can only take so much.

It is only 10:30 right now, so I should let him sleep a little bit longer. I, on the other hand, need some food. I grab his arms and try to loosen his grip around me, but he only grunts and holds me even tighter.

"Where are you going? Go back to sleep." He whines and I kiss his forehead.

"Andrew, babe, I am going to make breakfast. Let me go, you stay here and rest." He groans, but let's go of me.

"Wait!" He calls out before I get off the bed.

"Yes?" I turn to him and his head is turned towards me.

"I love you." He says with a sleepy smile.

"Loser. I love you." I say and chuckle, stepping onto the cold floor. I grab my t-shirt from the floor and pull it over my head. This hotel room is freezing. I locate the thermostat and turn the heat up to 78 degrees.

I stride over to the fridge and open it to explore its contents. Nothing. Duhh, this is a hotel room. We forgot to go grocery shopping. I walk back to the bedroom and put my jeans on.

"Are you going somewhere?" Andrew's raspy morning voice is my favorite.

"Yeah, I'm just going to the grocery store to get some breakfast stuff. I will only be a few minuets." I say and he nods his head, burying it further into his pillow. I put on my boots and grab Andrew's jacket, making sure I have my keys and the hotel key, and walk out of the room.

The small grocery store, Kroger's, only has a handful of cars in the parking lot. I get a parking space close to the front and put my jacket on before exiting the car. A gust of wind hits me, causing my hair to spread across my face. I run across the street and make it into the warm store.

What should I make. Hmmmm.... Breakfast casserole, it's Andrew's favorite. I need bread, eggs, cheese, sausage, I could get orange juice and strawberries. I get a shopping cart and browse the aisles for everything I need.

"Tessanie? Tessanie Brown?" A man, who looks about my age, stands in front of me, smiling widely.

"I'm sorry, but how do I know you?" I ask and he chuckles.

"I didn't think you'd remember me... It's been a while. I'm David Clark. We dated in eighth and ninth grade?" It clicks. His beard threw me off, but I definitely remember him. He was OBSESSED with Pokémon trading cards. He was really sweet, and in eighth grade, that was all that mattered. He was in love with me though, and the fact that he remembers me makes this awkward. Really awkward.

"Oh, David! How are you?" I say, trying not to sound uncomfortable.

"Good. Really good actually. Do you remember Estella Wellings?" He asks and I nod. She was my partner for the science fair in seventh grade, I think. "Well, we are engaged now and have a baby on the way." He says and I mentally sigh a sigh of relief.
