Chapter 13

Chapter 13-

Andrew's P.O.V.

"Ok. I will text you later, love." Slips off my younger before I can stop it. Tess smiles and I quickly walk away. I can't believe I just said that. She is going to think I'm mentally damaged. I guess I am, I mean she has this weird affect on me. When I'm around her I can never think right and I'm always nervous. Is this what love feels like? 'Don't get your hopes up' my conscious butts in. My smile fades as I walk to my next class.

"Hey man. You have Geography next?" Jonah asks as he jogs to catch up to me.

"Yeah, do you?" I ask and slow my pace.

"Yes sir, lets walk together." He says and we walk to the Geography room in silence.

There are a lot of students in this class, so when we walk through the door it is chaos. I can't see the professor in the room, so I quietly make my way to a desk near the middle of the room. When the professor, Mr. Hampton, walks in the class gets quiet and everyone finds a seat. I send Tess a quick text before the professor gets too far into his lecture.

To: Tessanie Baby:)

Hey it's Andrew. Tomorrow at 3? Is that good? Can I pick you u then?

I press send and immediately get a response.

From: Tessanie Baby:)

Yeah, perfect:) I will see you tomorrow Xx

I smile when I see that she out a smiley and 'Xx'. Is it possible that she still cares for me like I care for her. Probably not. I put in my head phones and zone out for the rest of class.

As soon as class is over, I rush out and locate Jonah's car. He is leaning against his car looking at his phone. I walk up to him and he shows me his phone. There are some messages from Hayley asking Jonah to bring me to the cafe later to see her. I blush and look back at Jonah who is smiling.

"She really likes you." Jonah says and gets. Into his car before I can protest.

"I'm engaged." I say plainly when I get into the passenger seat.

"Oh, really? That's cool I guess... Just try to be friends with her at least, she is pretty cool." He says awkwardly and pulls out of the parking lot, obviously uncomfortable with the fact that I'm engaged. If only we knew the whole story.

We drive to the cafe and make our way inside. Hayley's eyes lock onto me and she smiles. She gets up and hugs me. I slowly hug her back, and try to pull back but her grip is too tight.

"I missed you so much! How was your first day?" She asks when she finally lets go of me. I smile lightly, recalling my encounter with Tess earlier.

"It was wonderful. I saw my girlfri-...." I quickly correct my self. "friend from when I lived in Chicago." She looks like she isn't convinced and she puts her hands on her hips and rolls her eyes.

"You look really night in those skinny jeans." She says and pinches my butt. Ok, this has to stop. I grab her hand and pull her outside. Of course, she gets the wrong idea and crashes her lips on mine. I shove her away and she looks at me confusingly.

"Look Hayley, you seem nice and all but I'm engaged so this needs to stop." I say firmly.

"That doesn't matter." She says and winks. I huff and push past her and into the cafe where Jonah is sitting with Sam and Alexandra.

"Hey guys." I say and sit down next to Sam. We order a pizza and chat while waiting for the food to be done. I'm pretty sure Hayley left, to my relief.

We sit around and talk for ages while we finish up the pizza. I glance at my watch and see its almost midnight. Wow, I totally lost track of the time. I'm really glad I found these people because they are my new friends. I'm just glad I made the decision to come out here, especially because I found Tess.

"Hey we should get going." I say to Jonah and wave goodbye to Sam and Alexandra. We walk out of the cafe and into the car. As we drive back to the frat house, the song 'Look At Me Now' comes on and Jonah raps the whole song with ease. I am very impressed by this, I wish I could do that.

We arrive safely at the house and make our way up the our bedrooms. We exchange 'good nights' as we walk through our door located across the hall from the other one. I take a quick shower before jumping into bed. I make sure my alarm is set for 7:00 and slide under the covers. My bed feels emptier than usual. I feel as if I need to be holding someone as they fall asleep in my arms. I can't help but shiver from the emptiness I feel. I know exactly who needs to be in my arms. Tessanie.
